I couldn't believe what the kappa had just told me. I had just left my mother in her cell. She had been humiliated and stripped of her status for killing her mate. She had resigned herself to death. Her last words to me were still cutting my heart, and then this Kappa had come to inform me that all the stress, all the trouble I had been through was all for nothing?
I must have not heard him well. So I asked him again.
" What did you just say?"
" Alpha Wildbreed has returned to the pack." he rephrased himself.
"My father?" I asked again just to be clear.
"Yes, Alpha," he assured me.
" Are you sure about this?" I asked him.
" On my wolf, Alpha." He assured me again, and I rushed out.
I didn't know how to feel about the news or how I would react upon seeing him. He was presumed dead. We had mourned him and we had let him go. I had said goodbye to him. To find out he was alive all along. Slowly my surprise turned into anger.
