Alex felt it would help if I spent some time away from the pack. He wanted to join me in my one week rest but the packing business wouldn't allow it. He knew he had to be on the ground and now that he had the same Alpha authority like me, there was no need to fear attack by the mysterious silver wolf in search of her daughter.
I left the twin with Alex and decided to spend the weeks at Rhonda's parent's house. Because Rhonda was yet to move in with Mason, she had started staying at her parent's. I didn't know why Rhonda was uncomfortable with moving in with Mason and living in the settlement. They were fated to be together, after all, it was something that would eventually happen. I knew she didn't feel the mate bond the same way he did, but whatever she felt was strong enough to make her overlook the fact that he was a werewolf. I hoped she came to a favourable decision soon.
