Although Sylvester said he was coming the last time we spoke, he never showed up. I couldn't blame him. So many things had transpired between us. I gave him false hope and then crushed it. He was right to be mad but duty came first.
I placed a call to Sylvester and it took a while before he answered.
" Why haven't you come yet?" I asked him trying not to be stern.
" Was trying to finish up somethings before coming," he explained but I knew he was lying. I could feel it.
" I want you here as soon as possible," I demanded. I knew it was unfair but we needed to be professional.
Sylvester had decided to drive to the pack settlement. I figured he didn't want to come because he could have as well teleported himself. Driving meant it would take longer to get here.
" Hey," I said and he smiled in response. A lot of pack members were there so I couldn't discuss private matters with him.
" I hope you are all set, Gamma Beowulf? " I asked and he looked confused.
