I could not let whatever it was Sam believed to linger. I was not fully recovered from the wolfsbane, but I needed to find her. So, I went straight to Elisabeth's house. I feared the reception I would get, but I knew this was something I needed to do regardless of the outcome. If I did not try, I could lose everything I held dear.
Sam wasn't happy to see me, as I suspected, but I wasn't fazed by her reaction. She was usually indifferent towards me, and it hurt like hell, but this time around I felt her anger.
"Sam, I need to speak with you." I pleaded and she asked me to leave. There was no Alpha tone in her words so I was able to resist.
" Please Sam," I pleaded. When I noticed she wasn't going to agree I pleaded with Elisabeth to excuse us and she did.
" Please Sam it isn't what you think. Betty told me what happened." I tried to explain.
