I couldn't sleep after what Robert had told me. I knew the Blood moon pack wouldn't be easily appeased. I was also sure that my father knew that it would be hard for them to accept his offer.
I remembered the way the Alpha wolf stared at me when they attacked. If it weren't for my mate I would have been dead.
This was indeed a serious matter. If word got out about what my mother had done, other packs that were allies of the blood moon could attack us.
The blood moon pack was a very friendly and accommodating pack that wasn't far from us. They were kind to wolves and easily took people in. If other packs should find out, we were doomed. I wondered what my mother was thinking when she did what she did. How did she believe she would get away with it.
My mother was still yet to understand the ranking system. The size of a pack did not count in the ranking system as most wolves thought. It was the strength of the pack that mattered.
