Things were going smoothly at the cabin. I was glad to be away from the pack. When we first arrived at the cabin, I was scared that Ophelia and her goons would come for me but after four days and nothing happened, I relaxed.
Time at the cabin moved fast. The days were fun. Alex had a cook come in the mornings and leave after dinner. For fear of being poisoned, Alex and I ate from the same plate. He had found out that his mother was the one that sent Ophelia to deal with me so he wasn't taking any chances.
We spent the days together and I was having the time of my life. Alex was a fun person to be around and I had started falling in love with him.
Robert and Mason always let us know they were present especially at night when they refused to agree on who won the game. Alex always had to come and settle their issues. When around each other they behaved like children. It made me envy their friendship.
