"I don't remember exactly how long I waited, but it got to the point where I couldn't stay in that place any longer. My legs had started to move until my walking became me running with all my might while I could feel my breath escaping from my mouth every second." "My hand was about to touch the front door, I was hoping to go in to see Mei and make sure everything was alright, and then I would take care of asking her why she didn't show up for what we had agreed, but before my hand felt the texture of the wood, the door was opened letting me see a figure that was familiar." And remembering that, Kurono had realized once again that he had neglected those relationships he once had in the past. Kurono had let go of Shizune's hands, mainly because he felt the need to press his hands into a pair of fists to distract his mind with that simple action, but Shizune put back her hands on his, which made Kurono close his eyes to calm down a bit. "That characteristic smell, as well as the white interior and all those people who wore their respective uniforms made it quite clear to me where I was. I followed Mei's father's back constantly, I felt like there were thousands of questions in my mind, but none of them could come out of my mouth no matter how hard I tried, so that situation repeated itself as the corridors we crossed hardly changed, making me I felt like I was trapped at that moment… Until that door appeared in front of us."
Now, Kurono felt how his hands were beginning to shake, but fortunately, Shizune realized it and squeezed his hands tightly, although that didn't take away the fact that that same worried expression appeared on her. This was seen by Kurono, which made many more feelings take over him and consequently, he was lost in the memory that he was just expressing to Shizune.

"Huh, what are you doing here, Kurono-kun…?" The surprise in Mei's voice was undeniable when she had seen Kurono's figure cross the door of the room while he followed her father, who was the one who had to answer Mei's question.
"I ran into him in front of the house and I figured you'd be happy to see him after everything that's happened." Unlike the serious and silent attitude Mei's father had kept, right now he was speaking quite matter-of-factly and as if ignoring a bit of the situation that was present.
"Good night, Kurono-kun. It seems my husband kidnapped you; I hope you'll excuse him." Mei's mother was also in the same room, and she didn't take long to greet Kurono.
"Good night to you too, and I don't feel that this counts as some kind of kidnapping since I got into your car myself." A few small laughs could be heard in the place due to Kurono's words, but after that... It was quite Clearly, the situation didn't warrant that kind of attitude that everyone was showing, resulting in a kind of silence that Mei couldn't stand for long.
"Mom, Dad. You could go out for a moment; I need to talk to Kurono-kun." Mei didn't take long to express what was on her mind, one of the situations she had avoided the most for a long time had arisen, but there was no way to run away now.
Mei's parents had listened carefully to her request and had no qualms in accepting, which resulted in the room now only showing the figures of Mei and Kurono, thus giving Kurono a chance to observe the surroundings once more.
