Kurono's office had once again been enveloped by the characteristic calm from before as both he and Yuki had continued with the work at hand. Minutes passed at the same time as the pile of documents that both Kurono and Yuki were going through thinned little by little.
Kurono's office was located on one of the upper floors of the building that made up his company. There was a window in the room that allowed him to see the scenery outside perfectly, although it was mostly the view of the city area. That had been enough for Kurono to notice the time of day, plus a glance at his watch had made him even more aware.
The sight of him had wandered around the room again. He had progressed with his work at his own pace, but now there was also Yuki not far from him and she was still trying hard to get everything finished, but Kurono had a little idea that he would soon express.
"Have you had lunch yet, Yuki-san?" It was already a little after noon at that moment and Kurono asked Yuki that question since he supposed that she hadn't taken the time to eat something like him.
"Not yet, Kurosawa-san." Yuki answered sincerely since she didn't think too much about Kurono's question because she was very focused on her work, but that same concentration would be very difficult to maintain with Kurono's next sentence.
"Then we'd better go eat something." Kurono had moved, throwing his chair back a bit as he stood up taking advantage of the moment to stretch a bit.
"But..." Yuki was about to say something, but Kurono wouldn't let her.
"You won't make me change my mind, lunch time isn't over yet, so we have enough time to eat something, it's not something you should ignore if you really want to do your job, so let's go." Kurono's words were not they had nothing strange since everything he said is true, he was also getting some appetite, so, without asking her permission, he hurried Yuki while taking her hand preventing her from continuing to move the feather that was in it.
Yuki didn't have anything to say after that, she also understood what Kurono meant... But at that moment she was more focused on how he gently held her hand...
…
…
In short, both had arrived at the cafeteria of the building. Kurono felt that this area had been a very good investment because it was a great help to his employees by giving them access to good food without much difficulty. He didn't go there much since he used to prepare his own lunch, or lately, Shizune gave herself the task of preparing something for him in the morning, although that day it was a bit late and she didn't have a chance.
So, when the company's workers saw their boss calmly entering the place, they unconsciously tensed up while others finished their food as quickly as possible to get back to work as soon as possible. This situation was not new to Kurono, but unlike what was in the minds of his dear employees, he had only come to recover some energy.
Obviously, he had received greetings from the people in the spacious room, it was the same case for Yuki as her figure was also noticeable after Kurono's surprise. For his part, Kurono calmed the somewhat tense atmosphere by saying that he just came to eat something, and although it was reduced a lot, the people in the room could not relax at all.
In the end, Kurono and Yuki ordered a simple lunch a couple of sandwiches with some tea as a drink. Kurono had chosen the table that was furthest away from the crowd as she didn't want to disturb the others even though there wasn't any reason for that.
Yuki followed behind him as if she were a personal escort, but she was a bit impatient as the delicious aroma of her food was wafting across her nose.
"Yes, it's not bad at all, the ingredients are fresh and the flavors explode with each bite..." That was the only thing that had occurred to Kurono to say after tasting his food since he noticed the deep silence that had formed between him and Yuki. "What do you think, Yuki-san?"
"It's good food, although I'm used to eating here almost every day, but it doesn't make it lose quality…" Yuki blurted out those words as she took another bite of her sandwich.
Her attitude made it quite clear that she just wanted to enjoy her food without being interrupted, Kurono could understand that, and although she would like to talk to Yuki a bit more about anything, she decided not to bother her anymore... Although what happened next would be an experience something new for him...
"May I ask you a question, Kurosawa-san?" Yuki had used a napkin to clean himself before fixing her posture and asking that question that took Kurono by surprise.
"Sure, ask whatever you want." Kurono was a little glad that Yuki was the one intending to start a new conversation, so he didn't deny her any questions.
"Maybe it's none of my business, but…" Yuki had stopped thinking about what she would say next. "After you left, Akio-san introduced me to Rena-san once again, plus I got to meet Yotsuba-san"
"Oh... That's right, I think I forgot to introduce you directly to Shizune, I'm sorry about that." Kurono thought about that since that was exactly what had happened.
"Don't worry... But what I wanted to ask you was..." Some hesitation had taken over Yuki, he already knew the answer he would receive next, but she wanted to hear from Kurono's mouth so she could accept what was happening, so, refocusing, as well as a little hope growing in her, she asked that question that was hovering in her mind. "Are you and Yotsuba-san in a relationship?"
