Chapter 68 - Is one enough?

At first, the situation had played out in much the same way as when Shizune had told her parents how she and Kurono had met. Worry had taken over Ayaka and Akira, and it didn't take long for them to come over with Shizune to listen in detail without missing a thing.

Shizune also appreciated their concern, but she didn't stop and continued to tell everything. After several exchanges of words and support from Ayaka and Akira, as well as the scene where Kurono received thanks, the serious atmosphere from before gradually faded until Shizune began to recount those memories that were very special to her.

Needless to say, the aura in the room became completely calm, plus anyone could feel the happiness and pure feelings that Shizune conveyed, and this made Akira sigh from time to time at the same time as Ayaka nodded continuously.

"Kurono-san." Shizune had already finished with her story and the first to speak after that had been Ayaka calling Kurono's attention.

"Is something wrong, Ayaka-san?" Kurono had to say that she didn't know what was on Ayaka's mind at that moment, so he had to ask that question to make sure... Although the next thing he heard caused an expression difficult to describe to appear on his face.

"Maybe Shizune isn't enough, how about you take my daughter with you too?" Yes, actually it wasn't just Kurono, everyone had a strange expression after Ayaka's words, plus the smile on her face didn't help at all.

"Mom!" Akira raised her voice at that moment since she couldn't think of anything else, she knew her mother incredibly well so it didn't seem strange to her that she came out with those comments, but she didn't think that she would say so lightly

"What, did I say something wrong?" Ayaka pretended not to understand the reason for her daughter's attitude. "It's been years since you brought a boyfriend home, besides, I must say that Kurono mysteriously meets all the requirements for me to want to call him son.

After that, there was a scene where Akira continually scolded her mother while she wasn't really listening to her, Shizune was just ignoring all of that since she also knew perfectly well the relationship between Akira and her mother… Although she had to say that Ayaka's words made her surprised a bit… And unconsciously she had grown closer to Kurono for some reason.

Several minutes passed while following that same situation, but in the end, everything returned to normal, or at least an environment closer to it. Time had continued to pass to the point that only the moon and stars were visible outside, and Ayaka offered the idea of having dinner right there at her house to which everyone agreed.

"Is there anything you particularly like, Kurono?" Ayaka turned to Kurono again, asking for her opinion this time.

"Anything is fine with me, I'm not a picky eater."

"You don't need to be considerate, it could be said that you are our true guest today... I know, I'll take Shizune with me, I'm sure she will know what your tastes are." Ayaka's characteristic smile was noticeable on her at the same time as she took Shizune's arm intending to take her with her, but before anything else happened, some new voices came to the place.

"This place hasn't really changed at all." Akio had recently arrived with Ryo in front of his house and he didn't hesitate to enter to later be greeted by an image he knew quite well, he also managed to hear the voices coming from the living room, so it didn't take long to move in its direction.

Akio managed to see everyone sharing a pleasant moment, but he had to focus on something else the next moment as he felt his mother's body approaching him and he felt how he was embraced by her.

"I'm back, mom." Akio had a warm smile this time when he experienced all that.

"Yes, I'm glad to see you in one piece too, there are many things to say, but we were just about to prepare dinner..." It could be said that Ayaka's attitude had softened a bit after seeing Akio... But that didn't it would last a long time. "How's it going, Ryo, how are you coping with the fact that Shizune was caught?"

"Very good, although not as good as you accepting the fact that you are getting old every day."

"Ohh... I didn't know you were in a good mood, it seems like today your bones aren't making strange noises with every step you take." Those words reached everyone's ears as a bit of imagined electricity built up in the middle of Ayaka's gazes and Ryo.

Kurono was wondering if he should worry about that, but once he saw Shizune and Kyoko talking calmly while Akio had already come over to greet his sister, he thought it was best not to say anything and just enjoyed the moment.

In the end, the dinner they had at Akio's house went smoothly, everyone enjoyed the food, they were able to chat with a lot of spirits, plus everyone who knew Kurono for the first time was able to learn a little more about him, and the stories about life in the city were not in short supply.

"Will you stay tonight?" Shizune asked Rena that question before thinking of saying goodbye to her.

"Yeah, don't worry about us. I have a lot of things to discuss with Akira-nee and the mother-in-law, plus it's good for Akio to go home." Rena said all this to make Shizune calm.

"I hope you can go to breakfast tomorrow, Ayaka." Kyoko also took the opportunity to give that little invitation.

"We'll be there, we could even have a small party... In any case, take care on the way home." Ayaka waved her hand in farewell.

Ryo and Kyoko, as well as Shizune and Kurono had also said goodbye and started to follow the path that would lead them back, they had also said goodbye to Akio and Akira, so they simply enjoyed the path while the memories of everything that had happened that day kept appearing in their mind... And everyone realized how important they were.
