The following day when I woke up I walked to the kitchen, Joanna had already prepared a huge breakfast for me with both sweet and savory options. The dishes were big portions and there were even milkshakes and cappuccinos.
"Good morning." She opened her arms spreadly and then offered me a big smile.
"This is an amazing surprise, Jo! Thank you!" I hugged her squeezing tightly around her neck and then sat on a chair to immediately grab a croissant.
"I bought some things too but let's pretend you don't know." She winked so I chuckled.
"I wanted to celebrate your first day as a woman who is going to get married."
Going to marry, it still sounded weird to me. I needed a few weeks to get used to that adjective again.
My phone rang at that exact time and when I checked it a message from Cameron appeared, 'good morning, my future wife. I just wanted to remind you that I love you.'
