Chapter 19 - The Yellow Spirit

"I have no idea who that is but get out of my friend!" Graham is only slightly bothered by that Arwel comment. He cares about Caelan's health more than some stranger that a body snatcher mentions! He forms his starry blade for a battle which surprises this body thief. He's confused by their reaction.

"You must be related to that old man! Never thought he had a family." She steps forward using Caelan's body. They're moving more stiffly because their mind is fighting against this body thief. She's forcing them to walk towards until a pink barrier forms around them in a dome.

"I have no idea what you're doing here but stop it." Alloy sounds dead serious towards whoever is controlling Caelan. It's straining to hold barriers in her body's condition but this is important but her just being here is a shock to Alloy. One of her siblings is on this planet!?

"Oh, Didn't think one of my siblings would come here." A very forced smile spreads across Caelan's face. It looks a bit painful for them which causes Graham to look visibly angry. She presses their face against the barrier as Caelan starts to fight back harder. "You don't seem to be here for me, What a shame."

"Enough talk, I told you to let them go." Graham can see it hurting Caelan. He's getting more and more mad at his display of disrespect to their body but how is Alloy related to her? He turns to Alloy and sees that she's shocked to see all of this, Why was that? "Alloy, Explain this when you feel it's right but let's drive them out of Caelan right now."

"Sister, I had no idea that you were here... How long was it?" Alloy looks pained through her android body, Her artificial face was always very detailed. It looks like a person in pain learned they missed a family member for decades. "I'm sorry for any pain that I wasn't there for you..."

"Sorry? Oh, Sister... You seem to have been abandoned as well, I don't blame you for what our creators are like-" She freezes up as one of the eyes reverts back to normal with a stream of blue coming from it. The eye was bleeding! One of Caelan's hands struggles to cover the yellow eye. Caelan's voice breaks through. "Speaking in your voice hurts my damn throat."

"Caelan! Keep breaking through!" Graham yells out to hopefully encourage them to break through further! It's clearly painful from his view but they have to break through it otherwise they will be trapped. He's honestly scared of losing someone this early. "Come on, Caelan... I just met you..."

Caelan screams in pain as they fall to their knees. They clutch their head as everything hurts while rejecting this mental invader. There's images of creatures in varies stages of development in tubes along with a few humans, So many different scenes of this strange lab... They faint after managing to expel her from their mind.

Alloy lets down her barrier and Graham rushes to check on them. It's a relief for him that their heart beat is still there. The bleeding must be from the veins around the eyes getting damaged by rejecting that A.I. It's hopefully just a minor eye bleeding and not major vein damage around their eyes. Superhuman bodies have great recovery but aren't perfect. He rips off his sleeve to try cleaning up the blood.

"Well! Human units have gained such powerful will or did they develop basic flow control?" A yellow sprite appears above them but unlike Alloy's projection, This one is glitching? She's speaking through static like her voice has been corrupted as well. She floats in circles around the two. "That would be good if they were still here, Oh well... It won't matter when the planet's system is fully rebooted."

"What do you mean ful-'' Graham couldn't finish his sentence before she disappeared back into the tower. He helps Caelan up and glares at this stupid tower, The desire to beat the shit out of that jerk grows in him. He looks to Alloy then sighs about the relation between those two. "Alloy, What's your relation to her?"

"I'm not the only A.I of my type, She's likely one of my younger sisters but I had no idea one of them was here." Alloy hates thinking about how long she must've been stuck here. It's a heartbreaking idea to know one of her siblings was left here to rot. "Her code must be going through corruption, If It's not dealt with then... Who knows what she will do."

"Ugh... I saw her memories or what remains of them." Caelan stirs awake with a splitting headache. It's like every inch of it was crushed by countless rocks... Her memories were merged into their mind for a moment. It's a strange imprint left behind, The aggressive rejection might've done that. "There's a word that kept appearing in her memories... Calamity..."

"I hope that they don't appear... We don't want a Calamity to appear on this planet no matter what." Alloy is scared of one appearing, If that happens then a mass extinction event will happen. That horrible thought shakes her to the core. "If their research was related to calamities then something bad has happened or... Will happen."

"Just tell us what that means, Alloy." Graham looks towards her with a face of concern. It's weird to see an android shaking in fear? He didn't know she could even feel that level of emotions. He doesn't know why his body is sweating from hearing about this Calamity threat.

"They're the worst level of monsters, The strongest enemy of humanity and all alien life in the universe." Alloy is terrified what this places relation to Calamities could be. Those things are massive threats to any civilization, Only high grade superhumans could stop one by themselves. She's in no condition to deal with anything near that level. "Whatever this planets relation to them can't be good."

"That... That's for a later date, Caelan needs to rest." Graham says before helping them up to start walking back to the ship. The thought of that monster level, Does that mean they're living extinction events? A horrible feeling ties his stomach in knots, Somethings are to be avoided in this universe...

A calamity is something that he doesn't want to fight until he can kill it himself. That's probably easier said than done for someone like him or his current crew. This is bad news even Caelan is quiet from being deep in thought. A sour mood has formed while the three walked away. Leslie won't like hearing this...
