I've also released Parallel World's Chapter 23 as an auxiliary chapter. Think of it as a failed work of mine but I didn't want to delete it so I kept it as a parallel world's chapter where Rein makes different choices.
———
I decided that this skill, [Kitsune] was too dangerous for my well-being, I have no idea what it will do to me if I keep it turned on.
Without much thought, I turned off the skill as my body changed back to a bad ol' slightly chubby normal human body.
I hadn't much thought about it but my body sought for Tilda to perhaps ask her about what happened during my sleep.
Looking over Tilda's side, I was surprised at how popular Tilda was now. On my way of going toward her, Tilda were struck with conversation more than five times.
'I don't know what was the topic she's conversed about but I guess she's pretty popular after that war? Still, creating a sword out of nothing's pretty cool, huh... she even wields it without touching."
---
"Yo Tilda, any news while I was asleep?" I waved to Tilda greeting her.
"Nothing much, Rein-san. The guild master wanted to award you for saving the village but after he found out that you stole skill books from the shop, he was stopped." Tilda pondered before speaking.
Crap he found out. How!? It was a perfect crime...
"Aside from that, we, including Shouta-san got invited by multiple parties but we declined obviously!" Tilda thought cutely recalling what happened for the past two days.
"Oh, that's right! Ceria-chan, isn't it about time you give that to him?"
'That? Is it a love letter? Did she fall for me?' I was slightly expectant.
Ceri who was hiding behind Tilda was pushed by her, supporting whatever Ceri was about to do.
"Uh um... Please accept this!" bringing her body forward, Ceri extended her hand, she gave out a notebook.
"This is...?" with trembling hand, I accepted it.
'A gift from a girl!' I am so happy.
"You told me to tell myself more about you so... I thought it was easier to write it in the form of a letter," Ceri said embarrassed.
My words came back at me in the shape of something I hadn't imagined. However, I had no complaints.
"Can I read it right now?" I said shyly.
"N-no, please read it when I'm not here... I might die of embarrassment,"
The adorable acts of this girl shot my heart, as I chanted to my heart. 'If it was for this girl, I can even kill a god.'
"Okay, I will treasure it!" I earnestly held the notebook.
"Oh, that's right Tilda. Could you tell me more about the system?" before leaving, I remembered what I should ask so I questioned Tilda.
"The system?"
"Yeah, like the hidden stats, available features I may not know, oh, and also tell me about Transformation Active Skill."
"Didn't you do a tutorial when you came to this world?"
"I... skipped it, haha..." I laughed bitterly. Now that I think about it, I was really an idiot when I first came to this world.
"Haah... Who is their right mind to skip a chance when someone said they will him about this world, how to live in this world..." Tilda sighed.
From then, we walked together while Tilda introduce me to a helpful knowledge.
First, the average stats are 5, and no matter how trained or untrained the otherworlder(to them?) like me in their previous world, their stats will adjust to 5.
The only exception are hidden stats, however the average stats are still 5. So meaning that any stats I have below 5 means I'm trash.
Luck: 4
Will: 0
Accuracy: 3
Charm: 4
Command: 4
That was the value of my hidden stats without the additional from skills/title.
Dexterity: 8
I don't even want to talk about what I did in my past life to increase my dexterity this much...
Next was the skill. Currently, the known skill rarity were:
Common (50), Uncommon (75), Rare (100), Epic (150), Legendary (300). The higher the grade, the higher the level cap.
And the known skill grading was.
C, C+, B, B+, A, A+, S, SS, SS+.
According to what I heard, 'from C~A' hasn't much meaning in grading as you can easily attain it as long as you have a high rarity skill.
However from A+, no matter how high the rarity of the skill, even a Legendary rarity skill, couldn't get you to A+ grading unless you either use [Limit Breaking Stone A+] or [Seed of Reincarnation].
According to Tilda's statement [Limit Breaking Stone A+] increased the level cap of a skill by 50, meaning that it wasn't guaranteed to get your skill to A+ especially if you use it on a Common skill.
As for [Seed of Reincarnation], it was an item upon consumption, revert a skill's level to 1 and 'evolving' it. She also said it was better to max out your skill level before consuming it.
My head was empty except for 'I like the sound of it.'
At the same time, it was probably this kind of moment where I memorize things.
Tilda also mentioned that the research said; most S-grade skills could affect a single country while SS-grade skills had the effect to involve the entire world.
Nonetheless, as the lack of data, it isn't known how powerful the SS-grade skill was.
As for Transformation skills, she said it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial but
Common transformation skills: change the shape of user to existing monster without giving additional stats.
Rare transformation skills: change the shape of the user to either an unexisting or existing monster, from the fundamental being.
The simplified example was: when a passionate person used a Rare transformation skill, depending on the transformation skill he uses, he can emit inexplicable tranquility.
Meanwhile, Legendary transformation skills could transform the user into a creature of myths, giving huge stats boosts along with a skill-like feature like gaining control over earth or whatever.
Upon Tilda's explanation, I had a realization that I wasn't scammed once but twice by this [Kitsune] because going by its rarity, it shouldn't give me the charming personality the user doesn't have.
I sore myself to not use this skill unless necessary... 'I will still use it though because I'm so fucking cute and handsome in that state.'
"Anything else you want to know, Rein-san?" Tilda asked me after a long explanation.
"Nothing else, thanks," I sent my gratitude to Tilda.
I turned myself to silent before calling her out.
"Tilda," despite calling her name, deep inside, I was still hesitating.
'Whenever you want it, you can quit this party, you know? No one is forcing you to stay here,' if it was my past self, broken by my false kindness, I probably would have said it.
But saying this wasn't for Tilda, it was an indirect way of saying 'you made a mistake for deciding to join this party so get the fuck off.'
So I didn't say it.
"Never mind. By the way, thank you for joining my party you've been nothing but helpful to me," I sent out my smile to my great teammate.
"Yup. Your gratitude is properly received!" in response, Tilda smiled back to me.
That was very charming, making me feel like to treasure my party member. 'I'd accept this responsibility.'
"Ah, I'm going this way, see you forward," I pointed my figure in a different direction before bidding farewell.
"The two of you, be careful on your way. No matter how strong you are, you're still a woman," I decided to act man-like(?) party, leader.
"Hm. Leave protecting the princess to me!" Tilda smacked her chest which she doesn't have much before boasting.
"You are left," we separated paths as we headed on our destination.
