"That's...horrible." Stella said. While listening to Vivian's story the color gradually returned to her face, and she was able to sit up on her own. It seemed that hearing about the suffering of others took her mind off of her own embarrassment. It seemed inconceivable how she could remain so innocent despite her profession, but perhaps her pure feelings toward this Louis person were the reason.
