PRESENT DAY
Nila woke up with a start. There was a hand covering her mouth, but when she tried to remove it and get up, someone held her down, and something thin, cold, and hard brushed against her throat, which constricted nervously. She didn't recognize the men who were standing over her. Frightened, she immediately turned her eyes the crib, and found another man standing over it.
"Please don't hurt my baby!" She tried to shout, but it came out muffled.
"As long as you stay quiet and cooperate, we won't have to kill either of you," one of the men said. Nila nodded, and the hand was removed.
"What do you want from me?" She asked hoarsely. She already guessed, and dark old memories flooded her consciousness.
"Nothing. Just lie there quietly and don't move."
