Esmeralda pushed open the door to her room. It was nothing more than a narrow bedroom, and originally only had a bed that was so basic it was almost a cot. However, master Jacob and Vivian arranged for a complete set of proper furniture to be delivered and arranged for her before her arrival, including a comfortable bed, a nightstand, a dresser with a mirror, a closet, and flowery curtains for the windows. They would have given her a table and chairs as well, or a desk, but there wasn't enough space. She drew them back to allow the sun to enter and light up the room.
