The butler stared at the man before him, his hand trembling.
"Repeat what you said."
"Leon's people captured our infiltration team. They've all been taken to Leon's mansion," the handler replied.
"Which of his people, precisely?"
"It was his mage, Jacob, together with that mage's slaves and some human thugs they recruited. The thugs seemed somewhat professional, though."
The butler nodded gravely.
"You may leave. I will inform his grace."
The butler waited for the man to disappear, then motioned for one of the guards to approach. Most of the guards here were ordinary guards, but a few were "special," having been recruited for their willingness to take on less conventional duties.
"Make sure that man isn't a problem," the butler whispered.
The guard grinned.
"With pleasure, sir."
