The Marquis examined my face intensely.
"You're like me, aren't you? But the other nobles don't care! It's been going on for weeks, but the City Guard do nothing! It's just beast-kin getting hurt. The only reason they're investigating it at all is because those hoodlums broke into noble's mansions," Leon raged.
"I tried lighting a fire under that commander's bottom. Maybe that will help. But I want those miscreants dealt with! They hurt my Nila! Will you help me?"
"What do you want me to do?" I asked apprehensively. It was a little funny how he angry he was about them hurting Nila, while what he was doing to her wasn't all that different, at least in principle. I kept my thoughts to myself, however.
