Synopsis

Magic of the World - Book 1

Magic is present in all things living in the world. There are six main elements and one special element.

Main Six:

Light <> Dark

Fire <> Water

Earth <> Wind

Void

The special element is called the Void. It is the strongest of all elements, but it is also the rarest of them all. Only mages with special talent could wield such a rare element.

For each living being, there exists an affinity for magic. Whether high or low, all living beings have an affinity. An affinity for a certain element will make it so that learning said element will be faster and more rewarding, but learning the opposite element will be significantly harder.

Having affinity for the void, however, makes it so that learning all other elements is difficult, or downright impossible. It isn't impossible, though, as seen by the history of the Kingdom of Yaide.

Their court magician, Ophusihn Treklenov, is the most famous reference I could write about in this book. He was known as the Magic Supreme in his time, being able to use all the elements with nary a consequence.

Up to this day, the areas where he unleashed hurricanes, firestorms, earthquakes, tidal waves, eclipses, and blinding suns still bore his magical signature.

But I'm digressing. This book is about the basics of magic, not a history lesson.

Although this is where I'll stop writing this book for now. I'm running out of ink and paper. I'll need to go buy more.
