"Layana, you're a threat to the world and our celestial realm. Your kind was what I once killed, and now my fate has turned out this horrible. We are fated and...I honestly don't know what to do! How could I kill you? I can't. Maybe I would have done so before without a second thought, but now... I don't know anymore."
