"But you hurt my friends!" She glared at him with anger in her eyes, and he stared at her with an indifferent expression on his face.
"They were disrespectful. So they deserved it. She, specifically, should be lucky that I didn't kill her."
He blurted out with no tinge of remorse in his tone, and Layana looked at him with disgust in her eyes.
"Who do you think you are, that they should respect you? What respect do you even deserve? Someone who hurts others for no valid reason doesn't deserve respect!"
She yelled at him with deep fury in her tone and flinched back when he appeared before her in the blink of an eye.
"What did you say? Who am I? What are you thinking? Who do you think you-"
His face scrunched in obvious anger, but suddenly recalling that she was the one who freed him and his mate as well, he took an immediate deep breath and stepped back from her.
