"I don't know. I didn't have such a pleasant life and I am not in any way ready for this, so... I doubt I would be a good mum." A deep sigh fled from Leia's nose and she brought her legs to her chest, burying her face in her knees.
Adrik took a deep, cynical breath and gently patted her on the back. "Little wife-" He called her, and she raised her head to look at him with a downcast expression on her face. "-I understand you because I too didn't have a pleasant childhood. I never saw my mum or felt what it was like to have the love of a mother. My father hated me to the core and never once has he looked at me without hatred in his eyes." He sighed and leaned his head back against the edge of the bed. "However, this does not preclude us from being good parents to our own children. You know, I think this is great because we get to give our own child what we weren't able to get from our parents." He turned to her and gently caressed her cheek with his hand.
