"Princess, are you ready? We will have to depart now."
As the final echoes of our wedding ceremony faded, I addressed her, but her demeanour was subdued, a shadow of sadness darkening her eyes. Clearly, something troubled her, though I could not fathom what it might be.
"Yes, but… may I visit my grandfather's grave before we leave?"
Is it her grandfather that's troubling her?
"Of course, Princess."
I replied, trying to offer comfort. Yet, my words seemed to only deepen her melancholy.
Seeing her in this state, a wave of helplessness washed over me.
