"Hey there, lady. I need your help with something."
Cale asked a maid, who was scrubbing the corridor of the first floor of the manor. Cale had a playful smile on his face.
'This always works. The girls always blushed when I use this trick and give me all the information I need.'
Cale thought proudly with a smile.
"Sure. What do you need my help with, Sir?"
However, the young maid replied in a nonchalant manner. She had dark circles under her eyes. Her cheekbones were badly visible.
Cale's expression stiffened for a moment, seeing the maid's almost-dead-like self. But he soon composed himself and asked with a smile.
"Are you a new maid here?"
"Yes."
"Ah. When did you join?"
