"Greetings, Your Highness."
I greeted with a respectful bow.
It was an awkward greeting after meeting my father after almost a decade. I found myself at a loss for words and unsure of how to properly address him. To be frank, I wouldn't have recognized him if it weren't for his occasional appearances in the newspapers.
As he has yet to undergo a coronation ceremony, my father remains the Crown Prince, and I struggled to find the appropriate way to address him.
As I took a glance at his face, I couldn't help but notice the deep furrows etched into my father's brow. His displeasure was palpable.
"Hmm~ Raise your head."
he commanded, his eyes scanning me with a critical gaze.
"Thank you, Your Highness," I replied, attempting to maintain a polite demeanour.
But to my surprise, his expression only grew more sour. Confused, I wondered if I had said something wrong.
