Very Important: This was my first attempt at writing an original novel so my pacing was very off, making the novel feel stretched out in some parts. This is resolved in volume 3 where I saw the error I was making and have since started English classes.
That isn't to say the first two volumes are bad as I'm sure you'll see for yourselves if you reach up to chapter 60 or so before the locking. I would have liked to redo the book the book but premium chapters can't be deleted so I can only do it this way and edit the prior chapters whenever I have time.
With that said I hope you'll give this book and chance and enjoy the story and world I've created.
Important Note: Due to some miscommunication with my editor, I've come to realize the power system thus far has been inconsistent. I will have to edit the prior chapters but until then, Ignore any mention of tiers in the first two volumes, they carry little signifance thankfully and will not affect your reading experience, sorry and thank you.
1. World Building: This story will avoid the immersion breaking way of giving information to readers about the world through long paragraphs of dialogue or narration in the main story. As the Story progresses, more especially in later volumes you will encounter many lore chapters here and there. These would be chapters that shed light either on a specific's character's past or an aspect of the world in detail, however these chapters are completely optional and will be released alongside a main story chapter giving the reader a choice of whether or not they want to more of that specific character or aspect or prefer the knowledge the main story has provided. In the end it's just a matter of how immersed you want to be and how deeply involved you want to be with some characters. Every chapter matters, however if you like action from the get go it may seem kind of stretched and to those of you who feel that way I apologize. I do guarantee though that by volume 3 you'll see very little none storylines.
2. Neutral Evil MC: This story follows a Neutral Evil MC so just a fair warning to readers. In summary an MC that is selfish and is willing to do what he needs to if it benefits him, regardless of whether good or evil. I should also remind readers he doesn't fully become neutral evil from the get go, in the earlier chapters his personality can already be seen as something close to this alignment because of how he treats humans but definitely not fully, as the chapters progresses and he sees more of the world and meets a plethora of characters he experiences growth that alters and shapes his beliefs and driving force. His goal isn't one set from the very beginning either as in each major volume you will see him pursuing something specific rather than the usual reach the peak trope.
3. Romance?: All I can say on this is that the main focus isn't this, one will of course witness minor instances of romances from other characters but as for the Mc his case is rather unique, his romance if you can even call it that because I use the term very loosely as you'll see yourselves that it is unorthodox and very far from the usual mushy and self sacrifice type you may be used to. I suppose it just depends on your definition of romance, will the Mc take and perform certain actions that may be associated with romance yes, is it love or true and without benefits? look at his alignment. But no seriously if you want normal wholesome romance where one puts his/her partners well being above their own then no.
4. Limbo, Origin Worlds: The world this story takes place in is vast so I ask readers to be patient as they learn more about it as the story progresses. The first origin world we see is somewhat generic so as to ease reader in and get them comfortable as the focus are the characters and building them up to some extent. However I assure you once we touch upon volume two the story truly begins to unfold. By the time you reach volume 3, the book will feel completely different.
5. Logic: If you're someone that likes to compare things to the modern society that we live in then I'm here to tell you that doesn't apply here. Each origin world has its own set of views, morals, traditions, physiology and so on. So I repeat, real world logic doesn't apply here. I ask that you keep in mind the Mc isn't human and possesses the bloodline of a mana beast so many of his thoughts and nature are similar to that. Don't try to view his actions from a human perspective. I of course won't use this as an excuse for lack luster world logic and the like. I try my best to explain things in the world as simply and logically as I can to give the reader at least a feasible understanding of the laws and natures present rather than your typical it's magic so it's possible.
