'I need a cosmos fruit to grow back at home. Imagine what kind of power it will birth being raised on immortal lands.' I thought to myself.
{Host has shown interest in collecting spoils, of this world.}
{It is impossible to bring back anything unless the host completes the task to a hundred percent.}
'So I can pass without completing all the tasks?'
{...}
'So you said something you shouldn't have?' I giggled to myself.
"Were you able to give your father a proper burial?" I asked Neo
"Yes, I still go and talk to him to this day." She said with a smile on her face.
"Feeling better?"
She nodded.
"Nervous?"
She nodded.
"So what's your story?" She asked.
"I am an orphan who was raised to kill, Sizana and I grew up together."
"Was she always that scary?"
I raised my head and looked over at Tsame, they looked like they did not care for what we were talking about. They were holding a pillow and looking outside at the people being collected like Betty.
We once lived like that too, even though it was only for a few weeks before we started stealing and selling ships to survive. It feels weird living in a body with two separate memories and identities. From going through his memories a bit more, I found out that Grim had never said a word his entire life, which must be why Tsame sticking around so much.
[Warning.] [Warning.] [Warning.]
[There's an unidentified group of 8 armed people ahead of us. Judging by their uniform they appear to be high ranking officials. At least about captain rank. 4 of them are holding trojans, and in case Mr Grim has forgotten this too, trojans are weapons made from an unknown cosmos material and the ones owned by the empire can cut through regent abilities.]
'Can I kill them?'
{The host is not allowed to do anything beyond what the strongest humans can do, so we have sealed away most of the host's power.}
{The host is advised to only reap those with white skulls on their heads.}
'I thought the skulls were their kill counts.'
{There are different variations. Each time the host reaps a soul before its time a penalty will be executed.}
'Yellow displays the time of expected death, blue shows their kill counts, black is the target, and white means save, and red means kill so what does an absence mean then?'
{That...}
The ship stopped midair and I was thrown forward, I didn't fall just stumbled a little. When I checked the quest book again it was clear, I guess I should spend more time studying it later. If it were connected to the old man then maybe I would have had all the relevant information force-fed to me before taking off. I did not want that at all.
I went to the exit and jumped off. My guns appeared in my hands. Every time I held them felt like eating candy for the first time. Up until now all my fighting experiences came from sharp weapons and bare hands. Guns allowed me to spam one attack from a distance and due to my god-level stamina, I never ran out of bullets to shoot. The strength was stunted but even you would not survive a thousand ants.
"Black robe, chains, a coffin, and twin wessons. Grim Shotter, fancy seeing you here." A said as he stepped out of the group of officials, according to his uniform I guessed he was a captain. It was an all navy blue one-piece suit, he had on military boots and gloves. One look at them and you could tell that they had just gotten off of a spaceship.
"Do all people here talk this much?"
They quickly drew their sabres, "who are you?"
I keep forgetting that I have to be silent, but the way I was going I would probably start a new legend. Legend of the chatty death.
"WHO ARE YOU!?"
"Who is he? Who are you to ask that question? Teddy is Teddy and everything else will get you cut up." Tsame said as they walked towards the officials with their sabres out.
Four from the group of 8 including the one who was questioning me ran to the sides. I notice Tsame attempt an attack on them and ultimately giving up to attack the ones in the middle. They swung their blades and sparks flew. The four that parted from the crew came rushing towards me.
I shot four bullets, two on each side and one for each foe. They easily cut away at the bullets and continued their pursuit.
"Those skills, you're the real deal." The nosy official said.
"Why would anyone parade around in the name of an S class criminal?"
"Oh please don't tickle your ego around me."
I shot both guns at him and the guy next to him jumped in to dodge. I shot two bullets again and as he braced himself to block them I threw my gun. It hit him dead in the face before he could react.
It was the first time I used my speed on something that was not me and it was exciting.
{Media control activated}
{Rewind.}
The gun came flying back at me like a boomerang. I immediately turned around and did the same thing to the other officials and they fell for it. Soon as I touched the ground I ran towards a nearby alley.
The easiest way to fight people with swords that could cut through my magic was by putting them in a tight spot. They followed in with the nosy official at the front.
"Since when did you resort to petty tricks like this?"
"I am a criminal," I said as I shot two more bullets at him.
The wessons or the zoom zoom gun was a pair of long revolvers with varying bullet sizes. Each one of them held six rounds and they were reloaded by dropping the shells and putting in new bullets manually. The bullets manifested after unloading and gesturing for a refill, this is why Grim originally only used one at a time and in cases that he used both he would combine them into a bigger gun.
After emptying the guns I would throw one to refill the other and catch it to go back to shooting again. It was fun, my favourite part being that I got to alternate between my new abilities while I was at it.
