The day was getting dimmer and he tightened a bolt on the engine and replaced the tires and wiped his head. The deed was done and he was taking in for the evening. He took a shuttle bus to the stop near his apartment and stepped down, once he stepped on the pavement and perceived something was wrong. His eyes moved from one place to the other and he walked up the stairs to his apartment where he saw a woman bawling at the edge of the stairs.
She looked like she had fallen and he touched her shoulder, she was cold and couldn't breathe. How long had she been like this?
The Landlord stepped out and he crouched
"What in god's name just happened?"
"She's not moving, didn't you hear her?"
He flapped his hand and the toothpick in his teeth tilted "Eh, walls are thick, I thought it was a racoon"
She looked bloated and Dylan broke into a cold sweat at the old lady, her purse was dangling from the rail and he grabbed it.
