Instead of Fu Shanxiang, Yang Mi led the way upstairs. She stopped at a door that was painted blue "Fu Dan .. Are you in there ?"
No response. After thirty seconds, footsteps could be heard from inside the room. The door unlocked and a tall boy appeared at the door. Yulan's face was the first he saw and he became shy, instantly. She was such a beautiful girl. Her greenish eyes mesmerized him.
"Oh my word , Fu Dan" Yang sighed and entered the room. "You scared us for nothing."
Yulan noticed that he was tying a towel only. May be that's why he was shy. She walked in to the room to meet Yang Mi, who was already seated on the bed. It seemed the human girl was ashamed of naked men.
"Hey, meet my new friend and sister, Yulan" Yang Mi did the introduction. "I already told her about you."
Fu Dan smiled shyly and went in to the bathroom. Yulan was confused. Why was he behaving like this? Did he like Yang Mi?? Her best friend Sakura told her that men were hardly shy. Even Li Lian was never shy except when he was around her. In a case where man was shy, it means he was crushing or in love with a girl. Sakura and her crazy ideas.
"Feel at home , Yulan. This is our second house" Yang Mi whispered, with a smile. She knew that Fu Dan was shy around women.
Few minutes later, the young man came out of his bathroom fully dressed. He looked different from the bare chested man, Yulan saw at the time they entered the room.
Fu Dan moved to where the girls were and sat on the chair. He opened his laptop, which was on the table. "How are you doing, Yang Mi?"
"Great." She answered with a smile and continued "just like we spoke earlier on phone, Yulan needs your help. She has to find those people before the month ends."
"Fine" he turned to the young girl who was sitting next to Yang Mi. Her blonde hair shone like gold. She was extremely beautiful. "Hi, welcome to Beijing."
Yulan waited for a signal from Yang Mi before answering. She did not want to be a nuisance like her mother's concierge always said. "Thank you. My name is Yulan. Yang Mi told me that you are Fu Dan, her Best friend."
He smiled shyly. Yang Mi for once recognized him as a best friend. This was something to celebrate.
The door opened and Fu Shanxiang walked in to the room with a tray of snacks and drinks. The excitement on Yang Mi's face surprised Yulan as she quickly opened one of the drinks.
"Who are you looking for Yulan? What are their names ??" Fu Dan asked, first. He picked up a biro and started writing.
"Li Lian" she answered.
Fu Dan stopped writing and looked at her. His sister who was standing next to him shouted "Lian"
"Not the regular Li Lian. She is looking for her lost fiancée" Yang Mi rolled her eyes to clear the confusion. But she did not blame them for behaving that way. Her mother reacted the same way when she heard Li Lian's face.
"Oh... I see..." Fu Dan said, with a relief. What was he thinking? The popular Li Lian was known world wide. Why will anyone look for him in his own town?
"Can I wash my self?" Yang Mi asked, standing up from the bed. She headed for the bathroom without waiting for a reply. Fu Dan nodded at her but she did not see him.
"What friend" he sighed. "How are you able to put on with her?"
"She is a nice person. We are getting along" Yulan told him.
"Wow... So tell me, for how long do you know Li Lian? I mean your Li Lian?"
"Two years. He came to my kingdom. We helped him after some years, he left with a promise to come back but he never did" Yulan said, painfully. She was trying her best not to let those tears come out. Li Lian was the only person that made her cried. His absence brought nothing but emptiness and sorrows in to her life.
"Don't worry, I will help you find him by all means" Fu Dan assured. He was feeling pity for her. Why would such a beautiful girl suffer to look for a man who cared less? Who was him and where was he??
