A few hours later, as Lux was enjoying a relaxing time in his office, looking at the video feeds of the adventurer's guild to confirm everything was going well, he received a message from Hazel.
[Master, lady Kira has arrived. Shall I ask her to come and join you in the office for the report?]. She asked as she was ready to help him at all times.
"Yes, please call her Hazel." Answered the young man as he got up from his seat and went to get some juice from his kitchen before she arrived.
As he was collecting it, he heard the sound of the elevator opening, making him turn his head. "Welcome back, Kira. How did it go?" He asked as he brought her the juice while taking some for himself as well.
"Are you asking me as my friend or as the guild master?" She asked with a wink.
"Friend first, guild master second." He answered easily. "So, how was it?"
"It was an adult and raging frost dragon. It had about the same strength and moves as the ones who appeared in the ultimate break. It was easy to kill." She answered while sipping on her juice with a happy face.
"So, we've got ourselves another ultimate dungeon, huh. Any idea where the dragon came from?" He asked as even if he sent a mission with the task of information gathering, he would still take her information if she had any.
"Nope, no clue. You know me, I was never the one who collected information." She replied with a smile as Lux shook his head as he knew her more than anyone else.
"So, by your smile, I'd say your magic tests were successful?" He asked as her eyes lit up in excitement.
"Yes! Now, I can proudly say that I'm the only one in the world who can freeze a frost dragon to death." She replied pridefully with a wide grin as she did the impossible, kill a dragon in its element, especially when it was practically immune to its characteristic.
"So, what are you going to do this afternoon?" He asked with a lifted eyebrow since he knew she wouldn't take another mission. She was not that excited about completing tasks.
"Are you free this afternoon?" She asked with a smile that sent red alarms in his mind, which he decided to ignore, something he regretted afterwards.
"Yes, as far as I know, there's nothing I need to do. Hazel, contact me if there's an emergency. I'll be going out with Kira, it seems." He answered while leaving orders for Hazel as Kira nodded her head excitedly.
"Yes! It's been so long since we shopped together!" She said while rising to her feet and pumping her fist in the air. "I'll ask if Aysha wants to join us!" She continued as she ran to the elevator and left the floor.
Lux on his side had his eyes and mouth wide open while he muttered. "Why didn't I trust my instinct?"
With a sigh, he rose to his feet, and after rapidly preparing himself, he walked down to the first floor of the guild to wait for Kira and Aysha, who didn't have much to do at this moment since most adventurers took herb collecting jobs.
"Lux~! I heard from Kira! We're going shopping!?!" Shouted Aysha with her usual happy smile.
"Yes, we will. Are you ready?" Replied the young man as he was already tired just thinking about the shopping trip.
"Yes, we are!" Said Kira as she appeared next to Aysha. "Let's go!" She continued before starting to walk towards the exit of the guild building.
On the side, the adventurers who were busy choosing a mission, completing a task or simply waiting for their friends at the table looked at the three walking out of the building.
On the side, a new adventurer said to his friend. "Do you know who that man who dared to take out both heroes Kira and Aysha is? I'm so envious. Maybe we should show our male power by beating the guy? Afterwards, the girls would surely be enamoured with us, right?" He said while looking at his friend with hope-filled eyes.
"Yes, that makes sense." Nodded his friend as he appeared to be pensive. "So, how should we do it?"
On the tables around them, other adventurers looked at the two idiots before one finally couldn't take it anymore and started throwing countless questions. "How does that make sense? Where did you guys get that kind of idea? What kind of weird book did you read to think that beating their friend would get you positive attention? Are you morons?
Moreover, the guy you wanted to beat up is the leader of the four heroes, Lux. To put it bluntly, compared to him, we're all trash. You better hope that they didn't hear you."
When said adventurer finished his rant, all the adventurers surrounding the two morons got up out of their seats, not wanting to associate with them in any way.
As the two remaining idiots, who had been rambling like they were people of importance, got up with a white face as they looked around and heaved a sigh of relief when they noticed that no one was paying attention to them. Unfortunately, there was one existence who was constantly monitoring the adventurer's guild and heard their words. She would remember it.
---
"So, where do you want to go first?" Asked Lux, as while he wasn't that interested in shopping, he would still go with them happily to spend more time with two of his only friends.
"Let's start with lunch. I haven't eaten yet since breakfast, and Kira completely skipped it to come back to the guild. Follow me. I know where there is a good restaurant." Answered Aysha as she led them.
A few minutes later, Lux raised his head before helplessly saying. "Aysha, we're back in front of the guild." Causing the leading and always cheerful girl to blush in slight shame. "Where do you want to eat? I know the capital. I'll bring us there." He said with a smile as he rubbed her hair lovingly.
"It's a new restaurant in the capital. It's close to the guild since I saw it yesterday when I was going back home." She explained, taking a deep breath before continuing. "They serve salads and steaks. It smelled good yesterday night, so it should taste good." She explained with a smile.
"Sure, let's go there. Hazel, could you please tell me where is the said restaurant?" He asked as he knew that Aysha had been walking around quite a bit during her travel back home.
[Yes, master. The restaurant is at a five minutes walk to the east of your location.]. She answered with her charming voice.
"Huh? But isn't her house west of the guild?" Asked Kira as she looked at Aysha, who seemed a bit lost. "You know what? Forget it, let's eat. I'm hungry." She continued after looking at Aysha, who seemed so proud to get to her home by herself without getting lost. Indeed the girl said that she was taking detours to explore a bit around her new house.
Five minutes later, they stood in front of the said restaurant that Aysha had mentioned. "I agree. It does smell nice." He agreed as he took in the smell of the cooking food that escaped from the open door. "Let's go in."
Walking inside with the two girls flanking him, a waitress soon met them who opened his eyes wide after seeing two of her idols. "Miss Kira, miss Aysha, nice to meet you! My name is Eri, and I'm your fan." She said rapidly without taking a breath of air. "Eum, this is?" She asked while taking a look at the boy at their side, not recognizing him.
"This is Lux, our leader." Replied Aysha fondly, who was always happy with someone recognizing her and her friends.
"Oh. What? He's your leader?" She started before being interrupted by Lux. "Yes, could we have a table, please? We'll each take a steak and a salad along with fruit juice."
Lux didn't like being in the center of attention. He had no problem fighting countless monsters; He hated the attention. It was the reason that he was not known very much compared to the 'four heroes.'
"Yes, yes. I'll bring you there immediately." Replied the waitress with a smile as it's not every day that someone could serve such esteemed customers.
Arriving at a small table where they would be eating, they sat down while the waitress left to prepare their orders. However, just as he was starting to relax in his seat, he heard Aysha's surprise and turned his head. He was faced straight with a painting depicting him and the other four.
It had not been once or twice painters wanted to portrait him, but since he always refused, he never expected to appear in a painting even if the paint copied this from another one.
From the painting, they could see the side profile of Aysha, Kira, Ewan and Keat on their way to turn around and follow them back figure of a man, which was him.
"Haaa." He sighed, not saying anything.
