Chapter 18 - What are you hiding?

"Would it be better if we tell Andrei and Dylan about this now?" Erin got out of the shower wearing the set of clothes Marc pulled out from the cabinet earlier.

There's just one thing that bothers him after he wears it. The clothes seem to fit him quite well. And it's definitely not the same size as Marc's body. His hand froze from tying drying his hair with a towel. Seeing Marc sleeping soundly on the bed with its legs still touching the ground. He gently shook his head. What a baby.

He intends to wake him up to have a change of clothes as well. It was obviously soaking wet from lifting him up earlier. But he was halted from the sight of tears that were sliding down from the side of its face.

He felt his heartbreak once again just by looking at it. He intended to wipe it with his hand. But was surprised by Marc's sudden waking up. It grabbed the hand that was about to touch its face.

"What are you doing?"

"I-I was trying to wake you up. D-did you have a nightmare again?"

Marc gently shook its head and got it.

"You should get changed as well. Those clothes won't do you good if you let them sit in your body for too long."

It didn't say much and went to the cabinet to get another set of clothes.

But what he didn't expect was for it to get changed in front of him.

He basically covered his eyes. in sheer embarrassment.

"Would it be better if we tell Andrei and Dylan about our secret?" Erin got out of the shower wearing the set of clothes Marc pulled out from the cabinet earlier.

There's just one thing that bothers him at the moment. The clothes seem to fit him quite well. And it's definitely not the same size as Marc's body. His hand froze from drying his hair with a towel. Seeing Marc sleeping soundly on the bed with its legs still bent on the ground. He gently shook his head. What a baby.

He intends to wake him up to have a change of clothes as well. It was obviously wet from lifting him up earlier. But he was halted with a sight of tears that was visible from its cheeks.

He felt his heartbreak just by looking at it. He gently stroked it with his hand. And was surprised when Marc suddenly grabbed that hand that touched its face.

"What are you doing?"

"I-I was trying to wake you up. D-did you have a nightmare again?" he lied. He knew quite well what made him cry earlier. And it's probably got something to do with the name, Lowen.

Marc gently shook his head and got up.

"You should get changed as well. Those clothes won't do you good if you let them sit in your body for too long."

It didn't say much and went to the cabinet to get another set of clothes.

But what he didn't expect was for it to get changed in front of him.

He basically covered his eyes in sheer shyness.

"You can stop acting like a virgin now, I'm done changing."

Now his ears are red.

"I am a virgin!" he got so irritated, that he failed to realize what had just come out of his mouth.

Marc's face suddenly lit up with an amused smile.

What the hell is he doing?

That's when his eyes lingered on the clothes that Marc had changed into.

"What's wrong?" it asked when he became silent looking at it for a while.

"Did your friend like to keep a set of clothes for you here as well?"

Marc's demeanor suddenly went back to being cold and distant after it realized what he had meant.

"That's none of your business."

Although Erin was used to Marc's jerk-like behavior all the time. he knew that it wasn't the case this time around. And he had to admit, he got hurt from the cruel gesture in its voice. But indeed, he has no right to ask at all. Clearly, all they did was just kiss and nothing to suggest for him to make any demands.

"Wait here, I'll go buy you some clothes to wear." By new clothes, it meant the ones he was supposed to wear when they come home. Since Andrei and Dylan still have no idea that he's really a guy.

Soon after they left the apartment. No one dared to say another word to each other.

But what they weren't aware of, is that someone was already following them. From the moment they've arrived at the apartment. Until they went to leave the place.

It was baffled by the thought that Marc went there with a guy at first. And then got out with a woman after that.

And it's exactly what Tennesey's thoughts are as well upon seeing the pictures that the detective sent him later.

"I'm sure that he was with that guy before he came in. But after he left with the girl, no one ever left the house."

"Are you sure about that?"

"I'm still waiting outside. Should I get up and check?"

Tennesey had just gotten out of the shower. And was recently drying his hair with a towel. Half of its body was still covered by a towel as he sat by the sofa in his living room. He had long since left their house after that incident that led to Lowen's untimely death. He can't bear to sleep there at all. Much rather live in it.

"No, don't." he immediately uttered. "We might risk letting know that they're actually being followed. You can leave there for now. I'll call you if I need your services again. I'll send the payments to you tomorrow."

He ended the call with only that.

And he dared to bring a woman to Lowen's place. He thought while gritting his teeth.

He took the glass of whisky that he got after taking a shower. And drank it one go.

He went back to check the pictures for the last time. And thought that something about the girl seems to be very familiar.

That's when he went back on forth to all the other shots. And with each time, his brows start to form a frown.

Could his eyes be playing tricks on him? Or is it the alcohol that was taking its effect at that time?

It's not an entirely different person if you'll look at it closely. if you exclude the dress and the long hair, and probably the feminine makeup it's wearing at the moment.

"What are you trying to do this time, Marc?"
