My name is Alex and it has been 12 years since people with supernatural powers appeared, we call these people the Evolved. They now rule the world's countries and can do whatever they want. approximately one in every 1,000 people is an Evolved. My parents died in a training accident at the Air Force. It has been six years since their death. and I have had to go to school and have a job at the same time to pay my monthly rent. today is my 16th birthday and the day I might get a power.
I have never had any friends and because of that I've always been an outcast at school. Every day there is pure torture. Though I might not be the smartest I'm always I'm the in the top 20. Throughout the day I have waited for 9:43 p.m. when I was born to see if I would awaken a power. I went home after school and sat on my computer and played games to pass the time and to keep my mind calm. I had my headphones on so I could not hear the commotion going on outside, however that doesn't mean I didn't see when half of my room disappeared I quickly got up to see what was wrong and it was too Evolved fighting. One Evolved was throwing cars at the other, but the other one kept on evading finally it fits of rage the other evolved started throwing cars and trucks into the sky, and he screamed "You will die with me!" and the cars and trucks started falling down. Unluckily for me a truck come straight at me and killed me instantly.
