"The song we'll be performing will be Memoirs," Chris continued and the band members received a whole round of applause. "Please listen to us!"
And with that cue, Miso grasped the mic in front of her and started singing. Her voice came out, but the microphone didn't seem to be working.
It was working well earlier, but now, it wasn't working anymore?!
Miso was already at the busking site with the band members, but for some reason, her microphone started not working and the others have already started the cue. The audience was already watching the start of their performance and she couldn't risk disappointing everyone.
In just a split second of hesitation, she took a deep breath and widely grinned.
'It's now or never,' Miso said to herself as she braced herself together. 'The only thing that you have to keep in mind is to have fun, and have the best stage presence!'
She started singing on the spot with a confident and strong voice. The audience started clapping just a few seconds after that. The band members looked at her, and she noticed how happy they looked. She was so overwhelmed with joy that she continued her singing as if nothing really happened.
Soon they were singing along. Miso smiled. It was such an incredible feeling. She had always been shy, but the feeling of performing and hearing the audience clap for her felt absolutely great.
This was absolutely awesome! She was so happy to have such a great audience, and she got to perform for them! A huge cheer was heard from the audience when she finished the song.
The song 'Memoirs' finished with Ren's wonderful lingering sounds as the lead guitarist of the band. The crowd showered the band with praises and cheers after that. The band members were full of smiles. There seemed to be a kind of joy and excitement in their faces.
"The mic did not work but the main vocalist's voice was really good and loud enough for us to hear his wonderful voice!" A girl from the audience spoke, "They are still underground rookies in the industry but they are really talented! I'm amazed!"
Hearing those words made Miso smile in embarrassment. Her stare fell on the mic she was holding, and she somehow concluded that it could have been a blessing in disguise for her.
This incident made her believe in herself. The fact that she didn't need anyone or anything to prove herself talented, because she already had one.
She only had to believe in herself.
"I liked the song but I love the bass guitar's face the most!" one of the girls in the audience shouted. "He's so hot!"
Her voice made it through Lix, who was already approaching the girl with a wide grin. Miso watched the interesting scene unfold as he started to extend both of his hands and hinted at the girl to hug her.
The girl appeared dumbfounded but she mustered her courage and hugged him. The crowd was filled with cheers after that. Miso tried to look at the members and Ren's facial expression was blank.
Upon close inspection, Ren's nose wrinkled in objection and his brows were knitted together. Chris, Bin, and Han appeared to be smiling. But it was more out of cringe.
Chris's dimples revealed themselves yet again and Miso couldn't help but stare at them. She noticed Chris returning the gaze with her own and Miso's heart skipped a beat when she saw him smile at her.
For some reason, butterflies in her stomach started forming when he mouthed, "You did a great job!"
Just a small and simple word coming from him, but she already felt the immediate satisfaction of doing it. She had always wanted to become a theatre actress but she never could because of the lack of confidence.
Now, somehow, this experience taught her a lot.
Miso's thoughts became disrupted when one of the girls from the audience approached her. She turned her head and faced the girl, who appeared to be a middle school student.
The student's face was red and appeared to be incredibly shy but she mustered up the courage to speak up, "Can I ask a hug from you, oppa?"
A little bit flustered, Miso didn't expect that she would already acquire one fan just in one performance. She grinned and responded with a raspy voice, "Of course!"
She extended her hands and hugged the girl.
Miso didn't feel that shy because she was just hugging a girl. It didn't seem that her cover was also blown up because the student called her as an oppa.
The journey of pretending to be her twin brother seemed hard, but it wasn't impossible.
The hug lasted for a few seconds and when both of them pulled out from the hug, the student squealed and said, "I just fell in love with you oppa! I'm your number one fan from now on!"
As a response, Miso's laugh was awkward but she liked how sincere the girl was so she patted her head and said, "Thank you..." She trailed off and looked at the girl's uniform and said, "Thank you, Serom."
She squealed yet again and went back to her spot at the audience side. Miso could already feel the members' stares on her as she tried to ignore them and spoke to the audience, "I had a small incident earlier I still hoped that you guys enjoyed the performance we had earlier!"
"Of course, Blue Rose is the best!"
The crowd started to cheer them on and after a few seconds, Manager Lee swiftly went to her and handed her the microphone and exchanged it with the mic she was holding.
Miso gave him a small nod of thanks as she took the mic from him and spoke, "I'd like everyone to get to know us more!" She widely grinned and continued, "I am Jay and I am the main vocalist of the band! Nice to meet every one of you!"
"The guy who has little to no facial expression at the back is the lead guitarist of the band," Miso glanced over to Ren. "He's one of our talented composers and lyricist, Ren!"
The crowd started shouting and cheering for him and as a reaction, Ren acknowledged them with a small nod.
"As you already know," Miso continued. "The charismatic leader with a big personality and dimples is Chris! He's one of the composers of the band as well as the rhythm guitarist!"
"Wow, the leader has the most beautiful smile in the world!"
Everyone started to nod in agreement.
Miso said, "That's right." After watching the crowd, she continued. "Lix is the one who plays the bass guitar," Miso said with a wide grin as the audience cheered for Lix. "His voice is as deep as the Pacific Ocean!"
"That's right! I can attest to that!" the girl who hugged Felix earlier spoke in a loud voice. "He's cute but has that charismatic voice!"
"Lastly, Han is our cute but swaggy drummer!" Miso turned around and gestured at Han at the back. "He has a great voice and a good lyricist as well! Look forward to him sing later on!"
Everyone started to melt at the thought of seeing a man play a keyboard and have such good honey vocals as well.
"Last but not the least, our Bin!" Miso said, "Here's our cute and adorable keyboardist!"
Everyone clapped their hands in anticipation. Miso succeeded in making a good atmosphere.
"We will be having our debut show twenty-two days from now on!" Miso yelled as she glanced at her band members and said, "But as for now! Please listen to our tracks!"
As if on cue, they started to perform the next song in line.
