"why are u smiling so much, don't feel too special, I only called you because I have more questions" I said with a serious look.
"Then go ahead sister-i...I mean princess" he said
"First who is the crown prince of Bentrish" I asked.
"I can't tell you that for now, your father is not to be trusted since he always has a way with betraying people" he said.
I felt irritated with his words but I decided to keep a neutral smile and talked nicely.
"It's your mom who is not to be trusted since she has a way of deceiving people and by the way your plans will not work because I will never get married to anyone I don't love" I said with a bit of anger hidden in my eyes.
"Hmmmph did your father tell you that" he said with a mischeivous smile.
"Well, I don't know" I said confused about his chuckle.
"Well now that you have heard his side of the story will you like me to show you the Bentrish side of the story" he said calmly.
"Are u trying to say that I shouldn't trust my dad and that he is lying to me" I said angrily.
"Well am not saying that you should not trust your dad but I think it will be better if you see things for your self. As my mom always say "A half truth is worse than a full lie".he replied
"Oh you mean your mom the deceiver" I answered to get him angry but he kept a neutral smile.
"Okay den I'll give you time to consider what I said, for now I'll be taking my leave, be safe princess" he said and vanished.
After talking to chris I decided to go see my dad to tell him what Chris said.
"Good day dad" I greeted and curtised. "Rise my beautiful daughter" he replied. "So wat brings you to my Chambers" he asked with a smile.
"Well dad I got through to Chris but he insisted on showing me what happened and he insisted that you were telling me a half truth" I said meekly
"Well am not surprised those filthy Bentrish will do anything to get what they want" he said angrily.
"My dear, don't follow him infact I made a mistake letting you talk to him, the Bentrsh royal family has a way with manipulating people and that's the second reason why I fell for their queen back when she was still a crown princess. Dad said and stopped realising that he had revealed too much
" Dad but why do I feel like there is more to this story that you are not telling me" I said
"My dear you are starting to have doubts which means you have allowed him to get into your head" dad said
He was making sense to me but I couldn't help but feel like there was more to the story that dad wasn't telling me.
"Elena promise me that you won't ever talk to Christian ever again, promise me on your mom's life" he said worriedly.
"I promise you dad" I said and crossed my fingers at my back.
When I returned to my room I kept wondering about what dad said and what Chris said and I decided that I definitely need to talk to Chris so I called him again.
"Missed me already princess" he said proudly. "I have decided that I would like to see your side of the story but I will not accept to leave my room" I said
