Ray couldn't understand what happened. The King was sad because his kingdom is about to be invaded, yet he doesn't want to do anything to stop that invasion.
Ray even questioned his sanity for a second or whether he was retarded.
"Can I know why?" Ray could only keep up with his nonsensical way of thinking for the moment.
"As I said, It's not worth it to risk my life for this country. I may be sad for it to fall in such a shameful way. But my life is way more worth it than this piece of land." The way the king spoke and the words he spouted out was like he was just stating facts that couldn't be changed.
Even the way he looked neutrally at Ray made him shudder slightly.
'How did he reach the throne with such a mindset?' He could only question such a result.
