Chapter 72 - Chapter 71

Mago hated this. Hated everything about it. Had always hated these conferences, meetings.

It sucked for him because his parents would ask HIsoki so many questions, but Hisoki always seemed to have an answer. But something that Mago had hated? He would always tell the truth. "Yes, your son is a very smart kid. I think with a little more studying here or there he will succeed in this class."

As if he didn't know what Mago spent all his time on.

But now, it is different. Mago was in the front seat, he could tell the parents anything he wanted: lies or truth. Hisoki told him in the car not to, that doing that was mean. He played the guilt card on the college student. But Mago didn't care so much. Hisoki sat in his chair calmly, sending different emails out. Mago stood behind him, watching the boy.

"Mago?" Hisoki asked, breaking the silence. The tanned boy hummed, acknowledging his question. Hisoki turned his chair, facing Mago. "Do you still have pictures of us?" He asked calmly. Mago gave him a look. "What do you mean, like when we were dating?" Mago questioned. Hisoki nodded.

Why was he bringing this up now?

"Um…. yeah." Mago answered hesitantly, dragging out his voice. Hisoki sighed, shutting his laptop and laying his head down on his desk. Was something wrong? "Do you ever... miss us?" Mago couldn't help but smile. He wanted them together, definitely. But, feelings for the other students plagued his for Hisoki's. "Everyday."

Hisoki hums, nodding his head. "Me too." And that was the end of that conversation. Mago sighed, walking over to Baker's seat, his desk flower still shining. Hisoki and Mago used to always say "I love you," even when it was out of the ordinary. They would be shopping for something, and Mago might say it. It was always true, always from the heart. Maybe that was why they said it so often.

Mago had the urge to say it now.

Yoshi burst into the classroom, out of breath. His vest was in his hand, the white button up now clearly visible. "My parents think I'm failing!" He yelled, stomping his foot lightly on the ground. The heel of his dress pants clicked as he ran to Mago. "Which class?" Mago asked, Yoshi sitting onto his lap. Yoshi had been doing that a lot more recently.

"This one! I don't get it!" He turned to HIsoki. "Am I failing?" Yoshi asked. Hisoki was quiet before sighing. "Well, you haven't been turning in your assignments on time, if at all." HIsoki started. Yoshi hid his face in Mago's dress shirt. Hisoki had forced the boy to actually wear nice clothes instead of a hoodie. He was Hisoki's assistant after all.

Mago looked up at Hisoki, glaring. Yoshi is way too smart to fail. "He's just being an asshole. Your doing perfectly fine in this class." Mago assured. "Yeah, last time I checked you had a four gpa. That's perfect." Yoshi stood up, turning to look at Hisoki. He glared at the other. "You are the worst." He muttered. He turned back at Mago. "Can I stay here with you guys? It's boring outside."

Mago lifted Yoshi out of his lap, nodding. "Yep, you can. Just don't be annoying, or else we will have to kick you out." Mago smiled. Yoshi cheered happily. Hisoki rolled his eyes, standing up from his seat. Hisoki started writing the class name on the board. "Yoshi, what time is it?" HIsoki asked, not looking back. Yoshi looks up at the clock for a moment. "7:53. Oh gosh, I wonder if my parents are going to be first." Yoshi hugs himself, swinging back and forth. Mago hummed.

"Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. But what you should be worried about is what Hisoki says about you." Mago whispers, a smirk on his face. Yoshi turned to stare at Mago confused. "What do you mean? Is he going to say something mean about me?" Yoshi asked, concerned. Mago shakes his head. "No, he would never. But he might say something about ways to improve." He leans close to Yoshi's ear.

"He's not going to lie, no matter how much he loves you."

"Mago.."

"What?! You know it's true!"

"Yoshi is a good student!"

"And I wasn't?!"

"No, you weren't,"

"Come on! You told my parents everything!"

"Mago.."

The tanned boy glared at Hisoki threateningly. But before he could say anything, there was a knock on the door.

______

Yoshi looked hesitant at Mago and Hisoki, Mago nudging him to open the door. Yoshi sighed, and opened the wooden door. He instantly bowed to the parents on the other side. He recognised them. They were Baker's parents. "Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Ikari, it's nice to see you again." They smiled back, seeming a little shocked to find him here. He stepped aside, allowing them in.

Behind them was Baker and a girl, chatting together. Yoshi smiled, hugging Baker playfully. He waved to the girl. "Hi, I'm Yoshi." He smiled, however the girl stared at him with a shocked expression. Yoshi stepped back from Baker, allowing them in as well. Yoshi silently gagged watching Hisoki and Mago shake hands with Baker's parents. "Ew, they look so professional." Yoshi whispered. Baker rolled his eyes, sitting in his seat, the flower desk pet still there.

"Yoshi, this is my sister Tora. Tora, this is-" She shook her head. "I know him." She leaned down to whisper, a smile on her face. "I saw you two in the car." He told Yoshi At first, he didn't know what the other was talking about, the incident being a while ago. But then Yoshi quietly gasped, Baker groaning. "This is why I said you need to stay home."

"Are you….. Like ok with that?" Yoshi asked hesitantly. He wasn't going to deny the kiss, nor was he going to act like it didn't happen. That kiss with Baker was special, amazing, just incredible. He was going to have to ask Harley for more words to describe it.

"Oh, hell no. I'm homophobic. But, whatever." She shrugged. Yoshi lowered his head. "Oh. ok." Baker hits her on the back of the head. "She's not. She's ok with everything, she's just pulling at your strings." Baker explained Tora smiled. "You two would look so cute together, I totally ship it." Tora giggled.

Baker lowered his head onto the table, hiding his face. Tora's laugh must have gotten the other's attention, cause Mr. and Mrs. Ikari turned to look at them. Tora instantly stopped laughing. The mother sighed, turning back around. "Thank you for talking with us, Mr. Tanaka. I'm happy that my son is doing so well in your class." Mr. Ikari said, bowing. Hisoki bowed right after.

Tanaka, that was Hisoki's last name.

"Of course, it was my pleasure. You have a very smart kid on your hands." Hisoki compliments. Yoshi pokes Baker's back, whispering. "He thinks you're smart." Yoshi teased. The blond just pushed him away. He turned to shake Mago's hand. "It was very nice to meet you Mago. I hope you do well in your studies." Mr Ikari congratulated me. Mago smiled and nodded. "Thank you sir."

Yoshi huffed, flopping back in his chair. They beckoned Tora over, to her dismay, the following them out. "Ok, they're gone. You can look up now." Yoshi said. Hisoki shut the door, right as Mago started cheering. "YAS!!!! Did you see me, Hisoki? I was all professional and stuff!" He punched the air, jumping up and down. Hisoki laughed, nodding his head. "Yes, you did great. Good job, Mago." Hisoki praised, going to sit back down. Mago hopped over to Baker and Yoshi, pleased with himself.

Harley walked in, Baker's cap on his head. "Hey guys." He waved quietly. Hisoki looked up, waving back. Mago smiled. "Guess what I just did?" Mago asked, skipping over to Harley. He looked at the tanned boy for a second, thinking. "Is it something bad?" He asked, and Mago answered by shaking his head. Harley sighed. "What?"

"I just acted super professional in front of Baker's parents." Mago said proudly. Harley looked confused. "Good…. Job I guess?" He mumbled. Mago sighed, rolling his eyes. "God, you are the worst." He muttered. Mago snapped his fingers, twirling to Baker and Yoshi. "Also, I heard homophobic you your's and that girl's conversation. So talk."

Yoshi shrugged nonchalantly. "Tora knew that me and Baker kissed in the car so she joked that she was-" "Wait, you two kissed?" Harley asked, suddenly interested. Baker stands up from his seat, walking over to Hisoki's desk. Wait….. Did they not know? Baker hid beside Hisoki from embarrassment. "Oh.. uh yeah. This was like a while ago though. We just…. I don't know... kissed." Yoshi shrugged. Mago looked between them. "Are you two a thing?" Yoshi shook his head sadly.

"Nope. Can we stop talking about this." Yoshi muttered, looking over at Baker, who was barely visible. He sat down in Hisoki's chair, curled up in it like a cat. Hisoki sat on his desk, writing something down in that leather journal. Yoshi didn't say anything, instead looking back at Harley, who nodded.

"Of course."
