The six students all sat down on the floor, in a circle. Just like they had done when they had a party. Just like they had done when they were first told about the alters. Harley sighed, pinching his nose. "So let me get this straight, you guys went through Hisoki's diary, to snoop through his past life a trauma?"
Mago shook his head. "What- no, it wasn't like that. We just saw it on the table-'' Mago defended. Yoshi tilted his head. "You guys went through Hisoki's stuff? Why would you guys do that?" Yoshi questioned, almost offended. Wafi sighed. "We didn't mean to. It wasn't like it said diary on it-" Harley scoffed. "So should it? You should know to not go through anyone's stuff in the first place-"
Mago glared at Harley. "Really, Harley?" Mago asked sarcastically. Kai snapped his fingers, gaining everyone's attention. "Let's not argue. That's not why we need to talk, ok?" Everyone was silent for a moment, before nodding. Kai sighed. "Ok, Mago, Wafi, Baker, you guys know you shouldn't have done that right? That's an invasion of privacy. Once you guys understood what it was, you should have closed it."
The three guiltily nodded. "Yeah, we should have." Wafi muttered, his head low. Kai nodded. "Now, what exactly happened with Sahae?" Yoshi asked, crossing his legs. Wafi licked his lips. "I think he got prompted by this." Wafi lifted the book, placing it in the middle of the circle. No one dared to touch it. "He's just like Masa. He wants to protect Hisoki, but thinks the only way to do that is through violence." Harley explained. "He doesn't want to be vulnerable, doesn't want a chance of getting hurt. That's why he-"
"Why he didn't want Hisoki to date me.." Mago numbly added, looking to the floor. Yoshi reached over, giving the tanned boy a hug, but Mago didn't hug back. "Yeah. But, he doesn't like Hisoki that much either. Hisoki started taking pills, and Sahae didn't want that. Maybe he saw that as vulnerability. A liable risk." Harley decided. But Wafi shook his head. "No. I think….. I think Sahae saw it as Hisoki betraying him."
"But who told him to start taking pills.?" Kai asked, leaning his head on Harley's shoulder. None of them wanted to uncover Hisoki's life without his permission, but they wanted to know what was going on. On the outside, and in. "Maybe it was his mom." Harley shrugged, but Mago shook his head. "No, I don't think so. I think….Could it be whoever Akumu is? They said that they hated them."
"But, Akumu- It said that Akumu hurt Hisoki. They….. Touched him." Wafi said quietly. Yoshi gasped quietly, covering his mouth. "You don't think- no…" He mumbled to himself. He scooted back from Mago, staring at the book. Harley slightly nodded. "That alter, the fedora one. He's a sexual alter. The..." Harley went quiet, staring down at the floor. Kai looked towards Harley, noticing the beads in his eyes. "Harley…" Wafi started, his voice wavering.
They all knew what he was going to say.
"Those alters….. Only really come from sexual abuse trauma, usually happens during thier childhood."
Kai froze, looking down towards the burgundy carpet. Yoshi stands up abruptly, a pal's hand covering his face. "Yoshi?" Wafi asked worriedly, but the boy waved him off as he grabbed his coat. "I'll be fine. Just…. Just need a minute." He mumbles, walking out the door. Kai sighs, hunching over and holding his head in his hands. "When was he born?" Baker trembled, not looking up.
The entire room was silent for a second, before Wafi stood up. "God fucking dammit!" He yelled, before sucking in a breath. He rubbed his face. "That first page? He was fucking four." Wafi muttered. Kai shuttered out a sigh, wiping the tears out of his eyes. No need to cry now. Kai stood up, walking out of the door.
Yoshi stood near the balcony, watching cars pass silently. He could see the boy's brown hair float through the wind. Kai also noticed something as he started to walk towards him. "Baker, you're gonna bleed." Kai said weakly, with much less stress than usual. Instead, he was tired. He felt tired. Emotionally and physically. It had been a long day.
Yoshi seemed to not hear Kai, which made Kai actually walk up to Yoshi. "Yoshi? Your lip, stop biting it." Kai murmured slightly louder. His lips were red, the skin peeling slightly from the continuous biting. The boy didn't stop. Kai grabbed Yoshi's hand, pulling the boy to look at him. "Yoshi stop-"
"Why? Why should I? Hisoki had suffered all his childhood, been through the worst and came out broken. And- and here we are, perfectly fine, joking about going to the zoo and stubid shit like that! We're fucking lucky to go to one of the best schools in the nation, have some of the best closets in all of Tokyo, and yet we're still dragging Hisoki through the mud because what? It's fun? We are fucking spoiled rotten and we take everything for granted-"
Kai silently pulled Yoshi forward into a hug, shutting his eyes. Yoshi fought back for a minute, wanting to say more, but Kai didn't let him. "You're right, we are spoiled and we are lucky. But we're not taking it for granted. We went to Yokosa to get some of the best education possible. I think we all plan on going to secondary school. Don't hate yourself because you feel guilty about what happened to Hisoki. That has nothing to do with you." Kai whispered into his ear.
Yoshi nodded in Kai's chest, not letting go.
This was really all too much for them.
Kai let go, stepping back. "Come inside, it's freezing cold out here." Kai advised, continuing to hold onto Yoshi's hand. The brunette looked at him for a moment, before nodding. "Ok.." He whimpered. Kai hummed, pulling the boy towards the cracked door. He opened it, seeing everything quiet. However, they didn't look at Kai or Yoshi, instead to the side.
Masa crossed his arms, looking over the two. "Shut the door, then we can talk."
