"Ahh, it's… over."
In a dark room with the only light source being a computer screen, a man sits in front of it. His facial appearance is scruffy and unclean, followed with messy, uncombed hair for what seems to be weeks, and smelly, stinky clothes that smelled like he'd taken them to roll in a barn of animals.
On his desk, chips, noodle cups, and plates sat messily sprawled all over anywhere it could fit. But, despite the desk being like that, his keyboard is clean and tidy without even a speck of dust residing on the keys.
"The final Boss. Celestir Al Vivia."
The scene that's being shown on the computer screen was of a beautiful, white-haired woman with a golden sheen around herself. She was slowly disintegrating, slowly fading into white flakes as the things that still surround him are only white yet the flakes still stood out without being blended in with the background.
"Beautiful…"
A dull silence spreads, as the view turns to 3rd perspective and hovers around his character. The man's hand retracts and admires his years of hard work. His mind, still unable to comprehend what he has just done, and then a being made of black materializes behind his character.
"Master… the Queen of the Stars… she's truly dead?"
The man nor his character responded. But soon enough, the scruffy man moves to type something on his keyboard. On the screen, there's a command prompt that reads, [Speech: Yes, she is finally vanquished]
Then when he pressed Enter, the words in the Speech command disappeared immediately and his own character spoke.
"Yes, she is finally vanquished."
"Then… is our goal finished. Can we… move on?"
"...yes, my dear. You can."
His character's voice sounded pained, it sounded realistic.
"I wonder who does this? Do they really record every single word with every emotion?" The scruffy man scratched his beard as he said that.
"It's… we had a lot of fun, didn't we?"
"Yes, I suppose we did. But, there is still more."
'Huh?'
The scruffy man then widens his eyes as he didn't type that. His hand wasn't even on the keyboard as well.
'A cutscene?'
"This world is no longer functional, no longer suited for conquest. All of everything has been done. I have experienced nearly everything there could be to experience."
"Then, what will your next course of action be, My Liege?"
'Yes, what will it be?'
"This…"
'?!?'
From a rift in the shadows, an item was taken from it by the character's hand. The item was a simple golden, hand-held clock that looked to be a pocket watch from the victoria era. The pocket watch isn't moving anymore, proving that the world has indeed ceased functioning.
"That's?! The Watch of Time!"
"Indeed… and it's time for a new adventure."
The rift still persists, and from it he took out two more items with the same power level as the golden pocket watch. A black cube that looks like it contains the stars, and a continuously transmuting liquid or stone or even particle with rapidly changing colors.
"These items, they were of the three Guardians, correct?"
"Yes, My Liege."
"With these, the world was put into motion. Then the Divines did the rest of the work. But, what if I use it to 'shift' our world?"
"Huh? What do you imply, My Liege?"
"It means, a new adventure can finally commence. The bloodshed, the deaths, the eternal darkness. Everything will start once more… and I can once again continue."
Suddenly, the camera stopped and the character looked into it, making direct eye contact with the scruffy man that's supposed to control him.
'W-Wha…?!'
"Our journey, starts now."
The three items then merged with each other. The black cube opens with the clock then placed inside it. Then, the transmuting substance coats the outside. This process was only one second, yet from the scruffy man's perspective, it was like minutes. When the merging process completes itself, a brand new item emerges.
[The Construct of World]
Item Description: The Big Bang, the Catalyst, the Start. From this Construct, the world will be at the wielder's command.
'It's so short!'
The scruffy man was about to shout, before he was reminded of the stingy older couple that's his neighbors. They would complain to the nice landlady again if they were disturbed during their sleep. He sat back down and looked as his character did something with the item.
"M-My Liege… this item."
"I will see you again, Charlotte Rose Everblack. Pray to your master, as he rises up once more through the world."
"Y-Yes, My Liege. My God!"
Then the screen turned black.
'That was… something.'
Then, the title of the game, Divine Ascension, appeared on his screen. Under it, however, was a text that said, [Congratulations, you have initiated Ascension]
Then the program closes itself and returns him to his main screen, which has the background of an army behind someone sitting on a throne. His hand, holding up his face as he has a confident smirk. This was his character's face, Seichi Kurotachi, which was also his name.
'It's been over a decade since I started playing this game… hahhh, I guess it's finally over.'
He got up and moved to his bed, which was also messy like his entire room. He lay on it, his mind almost like it had shut down completely. He drifts to sleep easily.
