Reputation Value

The Reputation Value system operates on a 100-point scale and serves as a dynamic metric that influences various aspects of the empire, such as migration, governance, loyalty, and public perception.

....

1. Reputation Scale and Grades:

0–19 (F) – Extremely poor reputation. The empire is seen as unstable, unsafe, or tyrannical. Migration is minimal or non-existent, and the population may resist governance or rebel.

20–39 (D) – Below average. While the empire is functional, it lacks appeal to outsiders. Migration is slow, and existing citizens are skeptical of leadership.

40–59 (C) – Average. The empire is stable, but growth is moderate. Citizens are content, but external interest remains limited. Minor dissatisfaction may arise.

60–79 (B) – Above average. The empire is viewed as prosperous and safe, attracting steady migration. Citizens trust the leadership, and minor conflicts are manageable.

80–89 (A) – Excellent. The empire is admired globally, attracting large-scale migration. Citizens show high loyalty, and governance is smooth.

90–100 (S) – Outstanding. The empire is legendary, with people flocking to it en masse. Loyalty is near absolute, and even rivals view it with respect or fear.

2. Effects of Reputation Value:

A. Migration Rates:

Higher values attract new settlers and migrants in large numbers.

At a reputation of 67 (B-), Kingsley's empire sees about 5000 new settlers each month.

As it climbs to 86 (A-), migration rates surge to 500,000+ monthly, showcasing its increasing allure.

B. Governance and Stability:

Lower values may lead to riots, uprisings, or dissatisfaction, forcing Kingsley to enforce stricter measures.

Higher values encourage loyalty and stability, making reforms and reconstruction easier to implement.

C. Economic Growth and Trade:

A good reputation attracts merchants, investors, and trade partners, boosting economic activities.

Poor reputation deters trade and isolates the empire.

D. Influence on Diplomacy:

Higher values improve the empire's global reputation, making alliances easier and dissuading enemies from attacking.

E. Cultural Impact:

A high reputation value allows the spread of art, literature, and entertainment, helping modernize the empire (e.g., books, movies, and fictional works).

Lower values lead to stagnation in culture and creativity.

3. Reputation Growth and Decline:

Increases Through:

Infrastructure expansion and modernization.

Successful governance and problem-solving (e.g., managing migration).

Military strength and defense stability.

Public campaigns and announcements (e.g., preparing citizens for changes).

Innovation and new technologies like the Arcane Net.

Decreases Through:

Political instability or rebellion.

Failure to handle large migration waves effectively.

Food shortages, homelessness, or poor resource management.

Perceived abuse of power (e.g., excessive reconstruction without consent).
