[Choose your ability:
> Markmanship (Attacks ignore physical resistance and are impossible to evade.)
> Necromastery (Every enemy killed provides 3 extra physical damage, which stacks indefinitely.)
> Teleport (100 MP, teleport anywhere on the map, 20 second cooldown, 3 second casting time.]
I was thinking of choosing an ability, but I was too tired. So I accidentally slept on the floor.
----------
Upon waking up, I remembered about the skill window. Oh, it's still there.
The first skill [Markmanship] looks good, but it doesn't sound overwhelmingly strong.
The second skill [Necromastery] sounds interesting, but I have [Feast Passive >], which kills any unit with 100 hits, and my [Reaper Scythe].I have enough damage abilities already at the moment.
The third skill looks interesting, [Teleport]. I'd like to be able to teleport to cliffs where enemies can't reach me and simply shoot them to death. This would be useful for surprise attacks and escape skills.
I chose [Teleport], since if what happened during Stage 5 of the endless happens again, I can just teleport and recover.
I checked my skills,
[Skill:
> Split shot [25% damage reduction, attacks 5 enemies at once]
> Feast [Attacks deals 1% of enemy max health and heals you for 4% of enemy max health]
> Reaper Scythe [3 seconds stun, Deals 1 magic damage for every 1 health point lost by the enemy, 60 seconds cooldown, 200 MP]
> Borrowed Time [Changes all the damage you receive into heals, automatically activates on fatal damage or 20% health, lasts 9 seconds. 40 second cooldown. 150 MP]
> Teleport (100 MP, teleport anywhere on the map, 20 seconds cooldown, 3 seconds casting time.]
I can't wait to try it. First, I went to the bath and took a shower and changed my clothes. Then I prepared myself for [Teleport].
Before teleporting, I suddenly remembered my money and the cosmetic shop. I've been wanting to buy the [Manifold Paradox] aura.
[Cosmetic Shop > Aura
> Manifold Paradox (Creates a neon blue with dark blue aura, provides an after effect image on attack) <$45>)]
I bought it with my cash and my $50 disappeared, with $5 appearing out of nowhere. Well, it doesn't matter. I want to try the aura asap.
Everyone seemed to be sleeping now, luckily. I went to the closest toilet and checked the mirror. I then used [Manifold Paradox] aura and I was surprised by the intimidating effects it had. My eyes were neon glowy and my shirt, shoes, and hair look incredibly cool right now. From what I see, it looks like a layer of neon blue energy is covering them. That's just really cool. I tried using [Attack Mode] to summon my bow, and as I did, my bow seemed to have a white glowing effect, especially on the ice carvings, and a dark blue effect on the outer layers. Okay, that's enough with it, I said as I deactivated my [Aura] and [Attack Mode] seemingly back to normal.
I opened [Dungeon Map] and moved it all the way to [Ssangmun-dong South Korea]. I've always wanted to visit that country once, as I have always studied the Korean language.
As I activated the teleport, I felt a gathering of energy around me before I disappeared. I teleported into a dark alley and it was night. I forgot that South Korea is 14 hours ahead of New York.
Alright, I have arrived in Korea and I've no idea what to do. I might as well finish a dungeon since I've never tasted a Korean dungeon before. I opened the dungeon map and navigated to the closest dungeon.
[The Butchery
Enemies:
The Butcher:
HP: 700/700
MP: 100/100
Skills:
> Meat Hook (Fires a massive hook in a straight line, bringing any entities caught back to the butcher, dealing 100 pure damage on impact and 100 MP)
Before fighting the [Butcher] I bought a [Moonshard] from the [Shop].
[Moon Shard (-0.5s attack speed, consume to gain -0.25s and [Night Vision
[Gold: 800] <-4000>
I equipped the Moon Shard and didn't consume it. Checked my stats:
[Dendi
ATK: 87-99 dmg + 20
MS: 3.7 m/s
AS: 1.28s - 0.6s
DEF: 33% + 10%
RES: 25% (Magic Resistance)
1000/1000 HP <3.8 hp/s>
630/630 MP <2.4 mp/s>]
Yeah, 0.7 seconds for a shot, that's really op. I can shoot around 1.4 arrows every second.
I went and navigated into the [Butchery] dungeon. On my way there, I saw an old man in his 60s and his granddaughter in her 16s.
[Oil Nam (The old man)
HP: 500/500
MP: 250/250
ATK: 20 + 100
Skill:
> Blade Dance (Every attacks has 50% chance to deal 2.0x critical)]
[Kim Il-nam (The daughter)
HP: 350/350
MP: 100/100
ATK: 15 + 60
Skill:
> Truestrike
> Posion Sting (Attacks deal a non-fatal poison that deals 20 magic damage per second for 5 seconds)
I still wonder how these people fight. But well, it doesn't matter for now. When I was trying to get into the portal, the old man's daughter stopped me.
Luckily, I understood what she said in Korean, "Hey wait," she said, but luckily I understood because she was speaking
"Yes?" I replied, slightly surprised.
"We booked this dungeon first," she said.
"Booked? You mean you have reserved this dungeon?" I asked.
"Yes, May I know what you are trying to do?" She asked me back.
"Oh well. I didn't know there was a reservation system here." I replied quite flustered.
Are they trying to clear this dungeon with just the two of them? That's really dangerous. If they get hooked four times by the butcher and you're dead meat.
"Still, I've been to this dungeon before and it's really dangerous. Looking at you and your grandpa, you might actually die if you're not careful." I tried to warn them in a cold, stern voice.
They were shocked at first, and then they seemed to be giving a desperate look.
"We had no choice. All the other dungeons have already been booked, and it's too expensive to book an easier dungeon." she told me.
Well, I feel sorry for them. I guess I'll try to help. Even if they take the core, I'll still get some experience, but I'm sure their gratitude will force them to give me some shares, heheh.
"I can help you if you want, my name is Dendi. I know how to beat this dungeon, even by myself." I offered them.
"Really? Thank you very much. Sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Kim Il-nam and my grandfather's Oil Nam " She asked me with an excited tone.
"Are you sure, kid?" The old man voiced himself for the first time.
"Yes, believe in me. Shall we go in?" I told both of them while looking at them. They then nodded while giving seemingly tense movements.
We went inside and all we could see was a dark, eerie place similar to the graveyard, but instead of tombs, we saw empty houses. From the houses, there seems to be some movement.
Both of them were cautious and quiet, as I advised both of them.
From one of the houses, a butcher, a fat looking monstrous abomination with it's stomach and face seemingly stitched together, saw us and it threw a hook. Seeing the movement of the hook, I immediately ducked.
"Duck!" I told both of them
After dodging the hook, we approached the butcher closely and silently. As we approached him, I then activated [Attack Mode] and [Aura] because it's cool. They were both fascinated by the sudden change in my looks. They seemed stunned for a couple of seconds.
"Hey, wake up, don't be in a daze, it's dangerous here." I warned them again.
As I shot my arrow at the butcher, a blue neon light particle effect of the butcher's body appeared behind him and disappeared a second later, as expected of the [Aura]. Another arrow came up, and another arrow. On the fourth arrow, a [Reaper Scythe] was activated, leaving the butcher at half its hp. After shooting it for the 6th time, another [Reaper Scythe] was activated, and the butcher died. The problem seemed over. I looked over at the old man and his granddaughter. They seemed stunned again.
"Hey.. wake up, don't daze around!" I said it in a slightly higher tone, but still friendly.
"I'm sorry, it's just that I've never seen anyone with such an ability before. Especially that green giant ghost which appeared out of nowhere." The granddaughter said
"Haha, that's what they always say when they first see me. But hey, be careful alright." I lied. This is my first time going into a dungeon with someone and someone seeing my [Reaper Scythe] ability.
After killing the first butcher, the next butcher's pattern seemingly starts becoming predictable. Then the cycle of killing continues, until the 7th butcher comes up behind and shoots his hook into my blind spot.
Before the hook reached me, I ducked at the last second. Yeah, that's how good my gamer senses are. I then killed the 7th butcher until the final 8th butcher. Looking at it now, I've been doing all the work, but I don't want to say that. The dungeon is seemingly over, with all the houses empty. We looted the butchers and went outside the dungeon.
When we thought it was over, a butcher was in sight, seemingly unaggroed.
"Wait, please let us kill this one," said the granddaughter, who appeared to have grasped the gravity of her situation.
I let them get closer to the butcher. Once they did, their machete-looking sword stabbed the butcher. Getting the butcher poisoned. While the butcher was busy chasing the granddaughter, the old man pulled his katana and slashed the butcher. The butcher seemingly had quite some health left. Before the butcher tried to shoot his [Meat Hook] skill, I immediately activated [Reaper Scythe] on it, not wanting anyone to get hurt. The butcher died.
[Gold: 1300] <+500>
[EXP: 620/930] <+300>
It seemed something popped up. Can they not see it?
[Spider Legs: 0.3 m/s extra movement speed . Activate to get 20% bonus movement speed for 3 seconds. 20 seconds cooldown]
Ooh, bonus movement speed.
[Dendi
MS: 4.0 M/S]
That's better. Moving on, I wonder what's going to happen with the cores.
[9 x 600 g Monster Core]
It appeared to have fallen to the floor.
"Umm.. Mr. Dendi, can we take 1 core?" She asked me
Now don't ask me that. I will look bad now if I just give one core and take the rest. I have no choice, I'm going to do a pro gamer move.
"No, you can take all of them. I have too much on me." I lied, because I had no choice. I really had no choice. Taking them will make me feel guilty for a month.
They were taken in by surprise when I said that and thanked me dozens of times while bowing down. Before giving our farewells, they said
"Thank you! We will always remember this favor."
Okay, that's $5400 given away to a stranger. Let's not think too much about it, time to move to another location, I'll do it solo this time. Although I did atleast learned how awakeneds kill monsters now.
