Last but not least, it will be the Element of Words. The oldest Element across the Universe, many have disputed that it was the first-ever Element to be practiced. When there is knowledge, beings needed something called words to pass it on to everyone.
Speaking used words, writing used words. And in the early days of Magecraft, spells relied on incantations to power the spells further in terms of power level. For example, if the spell has an incantation and the user uses it, the spell's damage would be stronger than without the incantation.
The Mages that use this Element rely on words to create their spells. They come up with spells on the fly, even the mere word of 'Fire' could be used as a spell for the Mage in combat. Their command of language is vast, some have said that they know and speak every language.
This Element gave the feature of all spells to have words in them. The toughened Mages can choose not to use them but usually, they don't skip it if it's a very intense and taxing spell. And after a few eons, these Mages have asked the new Mages to create their languages.
This was to ask the newer generation to create new incantations that would be native to the user's tongue. It graduated to the point that if one were to use that spell with its original language, the spell would perform drastically better than if it was translated to another language.
And the people who used this power were called the Akis, from Akhaten. A world where the beings were being hailed as Gods. Why? Because they were a force to be reckoned with. They were the strongest in terms of seating within the Council, alongside the mighty Valkyries of Valokia.
They were the ones who started the idea of the Council because they felt that the Universe needed the order to prevent chaos. But this was just from the Akis themselves, not the rest of Akhaten. Akhaten was considered to be quite divided, having over a thousand different kingdoms.
Each dweller of Akhaten was born with one skill. And that was the power to open Gates. Each Akhaten Mage can open up certain Gates that hailed from legends of the Future. For instance, Gate of the Primordial Beasts or Gate of the Greek Mythos.
They borrowed the legends of the future and allowed themselves to be possessed by these 'creatures' or 'legends'. The group of Akis was no exception. They were a special group that had an extra Element on their hands.
This gift would be later discovered to be an abnormality to the Universe, citing that it cannot be procured by any other Mage, no matter how hard they try. And it also condemned the ones who were born with this Element, to a life of writing.
The Element of Words was first shown by a dweller within the Aki Village, the southern part of Akhaten. It was quite a rural area and had about four families. Take note that a native person on this planet would have a huge family, having about 20 kids would be the norm for them.
A mother gave birth to a total of 20 kids within the Aki Village, in the course of a few years. Because of that, the children were all quite close. They were especially connected after they've found that they have a special power that no one else has.
They continued with their lives, learning about which Gates to master and open. Until the eldest child could not stand it and told the other siblings that they should do something about the power. They then tried showing their parents and close friends.
Luckily, the community was quite open-minded and accepted the kids' special powers. But as they got older, they managed to find out about the other worlds and the Universe itself when the youngest accidentally poured the gift into a piece of empty and barren land.
Words of information sprouted out about Akhaten, the history, and people. This sparked the rest of the siblings to do the same. Whatever they asked or thought about, were all being imprinted onto whatever surface that they were touching.
Working together, they finally gathered their thoughts to form one single question. Was there any life out there other than them? And that was when the first Library was erected from the soil of Akhaten. Inside was filled with books of each life being written.
Ever since then, the Akis took an oath to take charge of the Library, making sure that each life was being recorded down. And that no history would be lost. But when they wanted to pass down their gift, it had killed the Mages that tried to use the Element of Words.
