Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 She Wasn't Pregnant

Olivia woke up when the doctor came back. Olivia thought that she could have left after the examination, but the doctor told her to stay in the hospital for a few days for observation. And it was Vincent's arrangement.

"Mr. Wilson cares about you. You can leave the hospital after making sure that your condition won't get worse."

"What?"

Then should she ask for leave? "Where is Mr. Wilson now?"

"Mr. Wilson has gone back. He said he would come to see you tomorrow. Miss Cooper, you'd better have a good rest. I also think this examination is necessary. The stomach illness also can be serious. It's better to have a clear examination."

Hearing the doctor's words, Olivia had no choice but to continue to lie down.

The next morning, when she just finished washing her face and hadn't had breakfast, there was a sudden noise outside the door. She thought it was Vincent. So, she quickly ran to open the door, only to find that it was Vincent's grandfather, Ethan, outside.

"Grandpa, why are you here?" Olivia asked.

"Of course, I'm here to see you."

With a smile on his face, Ethan signaled the servants behind him to put down the tonics and stopped Olivia's action of moving a chair for him. He asked her to sit down, and his eyes wandered over her flat belly several times. "I heard that Vincent sent you to the hospital last night. And I asked Claire to prepare soup this morning. Olivia, how are you feeling now? Are you getting better?"

"Grandpa, I'm fine. You don't have to come to see me on purpose. You can just call me."

"How does this work?" The old man pretended to be angry. "It's such an important thing. I must come to see it myself. What did the doctor tell you yesterday? Do you feel uncomfortable? Do you want to vomit?"

"No."

Why was grandpa so serious? Wasn't she just having a stomachache? The doctor said there was nothing serious.

"Young people are so stupid." Seeing her like this, Ethan said earnestly, "It's the hardest time to be pregnant. You must listen to the doctor and let my great-grandson be born healthily."

"What? Grandpa, I'm not pregnant!"

Where did this misunderstanding come from!

It was only once that she had sex with Vincent. Even if she was pregnant, it couldn't be so fast!

"You are not pregnant?" The old man glared at her, "Then why do you come to the hospital?"

"I... I just have a stomachache."

"Stomachache?" The old man raised his voice.

She blushed with shyness.

What kind of misunderstanding was this!

"Grandpa, you are here."

The door of the ward was pushed open again. With the breakfast he just bought, Vincent opened the door and saw an old man with half white hair sitting on the edge of the bed. He was surprised. "Why are you here?"

"Can't I come over?"

The old man's face darkened. "I came here and then know that you had been married for so long, and you didn't even have a child! I think you did it on purpose to piss me off!"

"Grandpa, I didn't mean that."

All of a sudden, Vincent understood what was going on. Helplessly, he helped his grandfather to sit down and said, "We have arranged everything well. We are not in a hurry to have a child."

"What have you arranged? Your parents left early. So, I have to keep an eye on you to give birth to the baby. Don't try to fool me. Now tell me exactly when you want a baby!"

After all, Ethan was the old chairman of the Vincent Corporation. He could guess their thought.

"Olivia had a stomachache recently. Even if I want to have a baby, I have to wait for her to recover." Vincent said, "Honey, don't you think so?"

"Ah? Yes. Grandpa, we have made plans."

Olivia was stunned by his affectionate calling. Especially when she heard the man's magnetic voice, her heartbeat fast. She coughed slightly before she knew to cooperate with him.

It was the first time that he had called her like that since they had been married for so long.

It was true that Olivia had a stomachache. Ethan snorted and said, "Fine! I trust you this time. But don't try to fool me again. When Olivia's stomachache recovers, if I can't hear the news of my great-grandson, you won't be able to enter the gate of the Vincent family!"

"Grandpa, you don't have to worry about these things," said Vincent. "The air in the hospital is not good. You don't have to stay here any longer. Let the driver send you back."

"I have my plan!" The old man shook off Vincent's hand and was still angry. But when he saw the breakfast that Vincent bought for Olivia, his face turned a little better. Ethan thought that his grandson still had Olivia in his heart. So, there was no need for him to disturb them here.

"I'm going back now. You must keep this thing in mind and I'll come to see you in a few days!" Ethan warned before he left.

Finally, Ethan was sent away. Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. But soon she got nervous again.

Grandfather was concerned about this. If she didn't get pregnant, would the Vincent family kick her out?

The marriage between her and Vincent was decided by the elders of the Vincent family. Without the support of the elders, she could not stay in the Vincent family at all.

But Vincent made it clear that he didn't want to have a baby with her. She couldn't get pregnant alone.

After closing the door, Vincent came back and saw Olivia sitting on the bed in low spirits. She was still thinking about what had happened just now.

He was a little moved. "You don't need to worry about this. I'll handle it."

Don't worry? Why? Olivia looked at him in surprise. Could he handle it alone?

"I'll put the breakfast here for you. You have some first. Claire will be here soon."

Vincent didn't say much about this thing and left after he finished his words.

Looking at the packing box on the table, Olivia had no appetite at all.

He didn't want to have a baby with her... What he meant was obvious.

According to the doctor's instructions, she stayed in the hospital for a few days and was allowed to leave after making sure that her stomach was not serious.

In the past few days, Vincent did not come to visit her again.

Everything went back to the way it had been in the past three years. Their relationship had still not made any progress.

After tidying up the luggage, Olivia followed Claire to the parking lot. As soon as she went downstairs, her arm was suddenly pulled from behind. When Olivia turned around, she saw her mother. Her mother's hair was messy and her face was anxious.

"Mom, why are you here?"

"I'm here to borrow money from you. Olivia, how much money do you have with you? Give it to me now!" She was about to grab Olivia's bag.

"Mom, what's going on?" Olivia asked subconsciously grabbing her mother's hand.

"Something happened. Your younger brother broke the antiques of other people outside. Now the owner wants to compensate!"

"What?" Olivia's head was humming. She quickly took out her wallet and asked, "Is Marvin okay? How did he break other people's things?"

"Of course, he's fine. But the owner of the antiques is just at the door of my house and wants me to compensate. Anyway, I'm in a hurry. Don't ask so much!" Her eyes flashed and pushed Olivia. "You have several cards here. Hurry up and transfer all the money in these cards to me. I don't know if it's enough."
