Flying in the air Odin was drenched in the heavy rain. On the ground below the towering buildings and roads were gone what replaced them was pure nature. Behind him, the emperor followed Odin as he viewed this nostalgic sight of his childhood.
They had traveled back in time 10,000 years back. The emperor wanted to give his own power to his young self so he would be able to increase his power further in the future. Naturally, this would cause a loop and he would gain an infinite amount of power but the consequence was he would die.
Odin had done this or more as his future self had so he could guide the emperor on not killing himself. Below Odin could see the early proto cities he saw many people flying on swords moving between the lands.
"There that's the city of talel." the emperor said as he pointed at a far city.
Odin turned around and quickly grabbed the emperor and they teleported above the city. Odin's eyes shone with a all-consuming darkness and he looked at a house in the center. Compared to the others this one was bigger and also covered in beautiful gems.
"Wear this and don't take it off unless you want to die." Odin said a he threw a jade ring at the emperor.
"Isn't this code jade?" the emperor asked as he saw the physical manifestation of the code of reality.
"52 alpha the code is 6729 don't forget it if you do you'll be stuck in a black time loop."
"Isn't that kinda racist?"
"Its called a black loop because your stuck in a never ending loop of dying but call it as you wish," Odin said as he disappeared from view.
The emperor placed the ring and said the code before going to meet with his young self.
On the streets Odin walked around without a direction. His clothes easily stood out but most consider him to be from a different land. Following the smell of cheap wine, he found a tavern and entered casually.
Like any old western movie except the cowboys are now cultivators Odin stepped on that squeaky board that somehow no one else steps on. The men looked at Odin as he made his way to the counter.
Leaning on the counter a woman with long red hair looked at Odin with interest. She sipped her drink with her left hand and fiddled with the small black knife on her right. The woman's eyes were clouded traveling that she was blind but still she saw Odin in such clarity better than a normal man.
The woman saw that Odin was also blind as she saw the runes of sight engraved on his cells just like her. If anyone from the present time saw this woman they would die from shock. she was the closest to being a God on this world but in the end, she disappeared never to be seen again.
She was a woman that saw through fate and time itself. at the end of her life she was nearly omnipotent but something happened and she was gone. even the greatest hunters and seekers could find no trace.
Some said she had ascended but there was no tribulation to test her, others said she was killed by a stronger being or she died while cultivating in a secluded place. Then some that believed she was a myth made by their ancestors but in the end only a few knew the truth.
Odin sat next to the woman and ordered a drink the woman finished her drink and ordered another before turning to Odin.
"So handsome what brings you to our grand city?" the woman asked as she stretched her hand for Odin to shake.
"Child be careful of your power not many like their fate being looked at." Odin said as he took the drink from the bartender and took a sip.
The low-quality alcohol made Odin gag it was like drinking pisswater he placed the cup down and removed his sense of taste before drinking the liquid.
"I'm sorry I've done it since I was a child it's helped me survive many times so I do it instinctively." the woman said as she stopped her fate sight but she gain nothing, in the end, she already knew Odin was dangerous as he was fateless.
"Hey buddy you new here?" from behind the two a deep voice boomed.
The woman looked at the man behind and was met with a bull in human form his muscles literally had on top muscles of them. On his back a huge hammer was held by his own back muscles it was no exaggeration to even say a bull looked like a pipsqueak in front of this man.
The aura of a cultivator could covered his body in a brownish light.
"Yep, I'm new what about it?" Odin said as he finished the liquid and turned around to look at the man.
"I'm juk maybe you've heard of me or my team the steelwraiths but you have to pay to enter this city and I know you haven't so it's time to pay up." the sentient bundle of muscles said as he walked up his smile was was menacing.
"Ohh I see but I'm sorry I'm broke put it on my tab for next time and I got you." Odin said nonchalantly as he leaned back and rested on the bar counter.
"What broke man comes to a bar and pays using gold coins?" juk said as he arrived a foot away from Odin.
"The same broke man that does this." Odin quickly reached out and grabbed juk's head and quickly headbutted him.
Juk's head cracked under the force of the attack and his grey matter spread around him. Odin had lowered his strength to only injure him a bit but it seemed he didn't lower it enough.
"Fucking weak ass nascent soul fucks." Odin said irritably as he got up and left the bar.
"Oh yeah can't fuck up the timeline." Odin said as he pushed the doors opened and snapped his fingers. Juk's lifeless corpse slowly put itself back together and he awakened after a few seconds.
"An immortal!" someone yelled as he saw the scene.
The rest were stunned but they agreed only an immortal could steal a soul and revive the dead.
'An immortal no wonder he was fateless." the woman said as she looked at juk who was looking around in confusion his erratic eyes looking for the man that killed him.
