Chapter 13 - You overcomplicate things, in the end, humans are animals just because they can overthink doesn't make them special you live you breed, and then die

The silver blade sliced the air again and again in a slow rhythm Odin inhaled once and then exhaled he repeated it twice more before swinging the blade again.

His eyes glowed with a dim blue light as multiple variables were processed in his mind. Odin swung the sword according to the data he got and a small tear appeared in space. With this tear, his eyes glowed brightly the room was covered in blue light, and then the tear repaired his eyes returned to normal as he put the sword back.

"I'm finally a beginner swordsman."

Odin walked out of the room and went to the garage he saw miseria sitting in the driver's seat. He got in the passenger seat and plugged one of his neural wires in his hair into the car.

"Ok I'll drive to an empty area and you'll just continue from there ok it's not hard to drive," Odin said as his eyes turned blue and the car turned on it moved slowly to the gate and they drove out.

They arrived at a clearing and Odin stopped the car and turned it off.

"Ok, you know how to do the basics right, or do you want me to teach you those?" Odin said as he looked at miseria.

"I know them I'm just nervous about crashing the car."

"Don't worry about that this car will survive anything can't say about what it crashes into it'll probably turn to ash or something but don't worry," Odin said as he chucked.

For the next hour, Miseria drove in the clearing learning how to turn and break she then learned how to park herself between two trees to simulate a parallel park. Odin watched the girl drive he was only there so she wouldn't crash or somehow drive off into a street and kill people.

"You see driving is easy what makes it hard is your anxiety your afraid that you'll crash but don't worry in time you'll probably be driving recklessly in a school zone and kill a few kids it'll be fun," Odin said as he smiled his white teeth had a bright shine that blinded Miseria.

She didn't get odins sense of humor or his way of thinking why was it either live or die with any problem what was the reason for it for him it didn't matter if the person was young or old he would kill them just for the sake of it.

Odin saw her look and knew what she was thinking.

"You overcomplicate things, in the end, humans are animals just because they can overthink doesn't make them special you live you breed and then die and that goes to your offspring that is what true consciousness is it's simply overthinking."

"Humans think themselves as special but you are not you are one of many and in the scale, you are at the near bottom remember you are animals so am I and I follow my instincts I don't try to do insignificant things unless it gives me joy which comes from my instincts for dopamine."

"In the end, it doesn't matter what you are what you feel or think you will die the more you add value to nothing the more you are afraid to lose it." Odin took control of the car and drove on the road soon the dirt road became asphalt reaching the city he drove before reaching a dealership.

'I wonder if I'll gain something from a sign in here I really haven't used it?' Odin said as he parked and got out of the car. Miseria followed him to the entrance of the dealership.

"Shit!" Odin said as he walked into the dealership the empty space resonated in his voice causing the attendants to look at him.

Odin kept walking ignoring his sudden outburst and soon bought miseria a car. as he really didn't want her driving his car the first gear of it could easily reach 1k mph and for a novice driver that wasn't good. Even for experienced drivers that were too fast of course if we were talking about average space racers, it was too slow but one standard isn't all standards.

Leaving the dealership Odin soon drove back home the truck was parked in the garage. which confused Miseria as she knew there was only one car in the garage and they were in it.

Odin got out of the car and went to look at the truck Miseria joined him as she was curious. Odin opened the door and popped the hood. He inspected the engine and discovered it was a primitive 64 piston engine that only produced a few twenty thousand horsepower. It even had a turbo no instantaneous boost in the truck which made Odin a bit disappointed.

The truck was produced in the 209 century in the nocturnal world of Baphomet the truck had a simple and efficient design the style that the planet used. it was black as these trucks were used in night raids on another world by the soldiers of Baphomet.

The vehicle's top speed was a few some thousand miles per hour and could take attacks from low caliber bullets the highest caliber they could withstand was from a DRC-220mm. As this truck was made for raids and not fighting this was perfect since by the time they were done the enemy wouldn't be able to use any high power weapon like a Loki or gunnir to wipeout the base.

Odin finished his inspection of the truck and had a small smile it wasn't the top tech of the 21 millennia but it was still good. Odin decided to have a test drive and soon left the car was made for the dirt so it felt comfortable while driving compared to the charger. but only he could tell as the charger was a rebuilt having new technology from the 21 millennia.

The difference between the two was one could only be measured in small decimals. Odin enjoyed the ride as he soon reached the inner forest the air felt fresh for his nonexisting lungs. his dragon lung didn't need air as even though he was biomechanical the only bio was the nanites structure he was more machine than man.
