Darasimi and her parents sat at the dining table, enjoying a delicious meal of jollof rice and fried plantains.
Darasimi Daniels: Okay this is really good! It's even better than before! (Darasimi complimented her mother's cooking with a smile)
Shade Daniels: You can take a woman out of Nigeria, but you can never take Nigeria out of a woman. Once I found all the ingredients, preparing this food was easy. And I even have some more ideas on how to make it even better! (Darasimi's mother boasted)
Femi Daniels: I look forward to it, My Dear! I know my wife can never disappoint... Mrs Shade Daniels, The Super Cook! (Femi praised his wife)
Darasimi Daniels: Super Cook! Super Cook! Super Cook! (Darasimi praised her mother as well)
Shade Daniels: Thank you, Thank you. It's not easy being a super cook, but I want to thank my loving husband, Mr Femi Daniels. And my beautiful daughter, Miss Darasimi Daniels. For their continual support in all my endeavors. But my success would not have been possible if not for one person. Mrs Shade Daniels! The Super Cook, The Super Mom, The Super Lady! (Shade said proudly)
Darasimi Daniels: Yes oh! Preach mumsi! (Darasimi said joyfully)
The family joked and talked a bit more, before finally finishing their dinner. It's bad manners to talk while you're eating, but what kind of a happy family eats their meals in silence.
After finishing their food, Darasimi takes care of the dirty dishes, then she decides to go to bed. She still had school tomorrow afterall.
Darasimi Daniels: Goodnight, Mom! Goodnight, Dad! (Darasimi tells her mom and dad, who were now watching a movie together)
Femi Daniels: Goodnight! (Femi tells her, sitting comfortably on the couch)
Shade Daniels: Goodnight, My Dear. Sweet dreams. (Shade tells her, resting comfortably in her husband's arms)
Darasimi Daniels: Okay. (Darasimi tells her with a smile, before heading off to her room)
Lying on her bed, Darasimi thinks back on what her mother had told her. And a smile crosses her lips.
Darasimi Daniels: Sweet dreams, huh? If only she knew my dreams. (Darasimi said before she closes her eyes, and drifted off to sleep)
Darasimi quickly wakes up in a black space, and there was a door in front of her, but it was a regular looking door. She opens the door and calmly walks into the swirling portal within, having done this so many other times before.
A blue portal appears next to a race track, and stepping out of the portal, Darasimi's appearance has changed quite a bit. Her body was now completely energy based, and she was hovering a few feet off the ground.
This form had no mouth, but that did not hinder her ability to speak, if she can be heard though, is anyone's guess.
Darasimi floats in the air, watching several people run on the race track. Her eyes were fixed on the man that was ahead of everyone else, the only person wearing a suit and tie in this race.
The man was running pretty fast, and sweating profusely, but he never once slowed his pace.
Darasimi Daniels: Guess this dream is about him. (Darasimi notes)
As the man continues to run, several shops and people suddenly appear up ahead, looking to get the man's attention.
"Come get your donuts here! Freshly baked donuts here! You sir, want a free donut?! (The vendor offered)
"No thanks!" (The running man said as he ran past the store)
"Hey buddy, I'm working on a new business plan, and I could really use a partner. You interested? (The nicely dressed fellow offered)
"Not interested." (The running man said as he ran past that individual)
"David, all you ever do is work, work, work. If you don't stop right now, then it's over between us!" (The beautiful lady tells him)
"I hope you find happiness, Karen!" (The man said as he ran past the woman, soon crossing the finish line and winning the race)
As the man is celebrating his victory, pieces of the dreamscape begin to break away, becoming energy particles which all float into Darasimi's body.
Darasimi's eyes widen as she begins to see visions of the man's future. She sees hardwork, dedication, loneliness, and a well deserved job promotion, which he worked so hard to get.
Darasimi Daniels: Guess hardwork really does pay off. It's a lonely road though. (Darasimi says as she floats away, heading for the new door that has appeared)
Entering the new door, Darasimi quickly finds herself at a new location, and it was a church, in the middle of a wedding ceremony.
Darasimi Daniels: Wow, pretty. (Darasimi says as she floats around, admiring all the pretty decorations)
The doors of the church suddenly open, and in steps the bride, accompanied by her father. She wore a beautiful floral wedding dress, which almost brought tears to Darasimi's glowing eyes)
Darasimi Daniels: So pretty. (Darasimi said with joy)
Darasimi is a Dreamwalker, and as such she can enter people's dreams. She doesn't know what she is yet, but she knows that she can enter other people's dreams, and also see their futures.
The wedding was going smoothly, but Darasimi notices something odd about this dream. The groom has a smug look on his face, making the teenage Dreamwalker wonder if he was actually a good guy, that will make her happy. Pieces of this dreamscape begin to break apart, entering Darasimi's body and giving her the answers to these questions.
Darasimi sees visions of an unhappy marriage, a messy divorce, and a long depression. But at the end of it all, is the discovery of new love, and true happiness.
Darasimi Daniels: I never liked that guy, what a bastard. At least she will find someone better someday. (Darasimi says as she floats away, opening and entering another dream door)
Darasimi now finds herself in a restaurant, and there was a family sitting in front of her, enjoying a meal together. The father seems to be telling his wife and son something, but his words were inaudible to Darasimi. Even the replies of the mother and child, carried no sound as well.
There was one more thing that Darasimi found strange about this family, although they were all smiling and laughing together, their smiles look faked, almost like they were all trying to deceive each other, by pretending to be happy.
Darasimi Daniels: What is this? (Darasimi wondered, for she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with this dream)
Shadowy creatures begin to materialize around the family, all whispering into their ears, and Darasimi could hear every word they spoke.
"Look at you, you're pathetic, Mark! You lost your job, and now you can't even provide for your own family. When are you going to tell them?! When are you going to tell them how much of a failure you really are?! Tell them, Mark! Hahahaha! (The monster taunts the man, but he still wore a smile on his face, seemingly unfazed by the creature)
"Mark has always been good to you, and yet you're cheating on him, Barbara! Have you no shame, have you no decency, Woman?! How can you look at their faces, when you're nothing, but a disgusting wh*re! (The monster tells the woman, but she is unfazed as well, still eating her dinner, and laughing with her family)
"You want to tell them that you're getting bullied at school? How stupid can you be?! Can't you be a man, can't you solve your problems without mommy and daddy holding your hand?! Hahahaha! You're a loser, Freddy! No wonder the other kids hate you! (The monster tells the boy, but the happy expression remained on his face)
Seeing and hearing all this really freaks Darasimi out, for she has never seen something like this in a dream before.
Darasimi Daniels: What is going on here? (Darasimi said in fear)
Pieces of the dreamscape begins to break apart once again, but instead of having the usual blue colour of dream energy, these energy particles were glowing red.
Once these red particles of energy enters Darasimi's body, she begins to experience some pain, the red energy was hurting her.
Darasimi Daniels: Ow! (Darasimi says as she floats back, rubbing the spot the energy particles entered from)
Darasimi's eyes widen as she begins to see another vision, but these visions were different, very different. She sees violence, destruction, death and murder, all committed by this very family.
Darasimi is scared by the visions she saw, but what's worse is that the shadowy creatures had stopped tormenting the family, and were now looking at Darasimi.
"What are you doing here?!" (One of the creatures asks, growling at Darasimi with it's razor sharp teeth)
"You don't belong here!" (Another hisses)
"Get out!!!" (The final creature roars, somehow pushing Darasimi away with the force of it's voice)
Darasimi instantly wakes up on her bed, and had a scared look plastered on her face.
Darasimi Daniels: What the heck was that?! (Darasimi thought in fear)
