"Pardon the intrusion." Said Tanish.
"I'm right behind you, fool. The owner of the house is itself outside, To whom, are you excuse?"
Anchal react to Tanish's manner of speech in an
uninterested way. Then both walked inside the
apartment. It was two-bedroom apartment with
one hall in the center of the apartment. The kitchen was on
the left side of the gallery and the way to Balcony goes through the hall.
"It's called basic human courtesy, not less. Well
anyway, since we're in. Let's have some drink."
Tanish asked for refreshment while making
himself home. He sat down on a couch in the hall.
"Alright, just wait there." Anchal went into the kitchen.
He brought two glasses of water with him.
"Thank you~~" Tanish winked at Anchal.
"Please.. Don't do that ever again. Not especially in front of me." Anchal glared at Tanish's remark.
"Okay ....okay buddy..Chill. Well, since we have done, Show me that window of yours from where you heard those voices."
"Umm..Yeah..come with me."
Both Went to Anchal's bedroom. It was a spacious room with a bookshelf, which holds several books.
"Never knew you were this much of a reader."
"I recently started liking novels. Its full of Japanese literature though."

"Here it is. It is calm now but after midnight, they whisper some rite I don't understand. It's too much to my fragile self."
"So those are things, making you uncomfortable."
Peeping from the window, two trees were easily visible.
"I'm not resident here from start, but what I know is, Those were planted by the development of rular and city municipal 4 years ago. Before I came to this city." Anchal said.
"Assuming they were planted before you even came to the city, give a decent idea they didn't magically appear looking for you," Tanish said while looking up and down at the view.
"I'm wondering.." Tanish said.
"What? You Thought of something?"
"Like ...If you stretch your body a little bit and look 35° down right. You can see a babe in her bathtub through an open ventilation window."

"Ouchh..!!! Oii "
Anchal drops a hard smack on Tanish's Back.
"Do the friggin work you came to do."
"Must..Be nice to live in such a 'great view apartment'."

"Oii oii...Put that remote down. I'm just joking. Just a joke. Well, we don't have many things to do anyway."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Anchal asked Tanish about his assesment.
"I mean all we have to do is wait till become active and seek some information out of them."
"And how we are supposed to do that?"
"Just observe them dammit, and more precisely making yourself open to them. Don't hide this time, but look through the window. I'm here too this time."
".. It's.. It's tough..But if you say so."
" ... Let's get some supper before going to bed. We have a tough Nightwatch to do.." Said Tanish.
"Okay...Let me make some."
" ~~Okay my maid-chan~~" Tanish winked at him while sticking his tongue out.
" I SAID THE DAMN FRIGGIN TIME DON'T DO THAT THING AGAIN !!! " Anchal fumed.
"Okay ..okay buddy. But Love the way you shy."
After some hustle both went to sleep. It was not too long since both woke up to strange noises. The who noticed these noises was Tanish as he got up from his bed. He soon walk pass to Anchal's bed.
"Are you listening?" Asked Anchal in mild voice.
" Yes, What are they saying, is really complex." Replied Tanish With stiff attitude.
{So spake th' Apostate Angel, though in pain. Vaunting aloud, but rackt with deep despare. And him thus answer'd soon his bold Compeer.}
These Words were neither from Anchal's nor from Tanish's mouth. They were coming from the open window of their room. Both were crouching near the edge of window railing and looking at the spectacle before them. The scene which made both of them to question the reality they living.

Those two trees outside of their window were shaking. No they were not shaking, they were moving , slowly slowly spreading their branches, vines and foliage towards the window they looking from. It was not long enough they realizes they are in danger. Tanish made his move, he quickly shut the window. And pulled back Anchal with him.
"WHat...WHat. wE do? ohh my this never happened before. Did they mark you a threat as I brought you in my house?" Anchal asked in panic state.
" It seems like the case. We might thought that they were not active but I think they were listening our conversation since start. But Why are they only active in middle of the night?" said Tanish while trying to figure out the odds.
As they rush towards the hall, they heard the loud noise of shattering glass.
"Ohh no, they entered the bed room." Anchal shouted.
"Calm down buddy, what can bunch of branches and leafs can possibly do? Just calm down." replied Tanish.
"uhh Oh!!" Anchal exclaimed in suprise.
"What happened ?" asked Tanish.
"You Jinxed. Yes, son of bitch... you jinxed look at the corridor." Anchal screamed while pointing his finger towards corridor.
Bunch of vines with thorns were rappling from bedroom doorway. It seem they were searching for something. But whatever they were searching were not in their vision. They were using touch sense to identify the subject, checking each and every corner of room and corridor. Finally they arrived in hall. Anchal and Tanish hid themselves in kitchen. Both crouched down trying not to make a single mistake. Those Thorny vines could be poisonous. They can't take any risk at all.
"What are you doing? Keep quiet." Anchal murmured.
"Trying to find something useful, Haven't you watched movies, most of the life saving tools are found in kitchen." Said Tanish.
"Please...Anything. At this Movement I'm ready for any miracle to happen, just do something."

A powerful hit from vines. Whole kitchen was messed up in single hit. Thorny vines from which slime like fluid was dripping were straight looking down at Anchal's eye and Tanish's Back as he was still searching for something.

"uhhh..Tanish, I think this is time you are suppose to do miracle." said Anchal.
"Just wait a moment I found it, Just within my reach----woahhh."
Tanish was grabbed by vine and smacked into the wall.
"Tanish !!!" screamed Anchal.
"uhh wah..You are so persistent. First breaking into someone's house then breaking the house and over that trying to harm one of the guest. Unforgivable." Said Tanish while coughing blood.
"Take this." screamed Tanish while pouring liquid over vines.
As soon as liquid touched the skin of the vines, they started grappling over floor, slowly slowly surface of vines become black, It was scene like you watching corrosion of iron in timeskip video. It was a bit of a moment and then room became silent.
"Its over ? Its over right. What..What did you do?" asked Anchal while trying get on his knees.
"Haha..Told you, Your Kitchen is the greatest armory, I found Vinegar and Glyphosate. And pour the mixer over them. Truly a genius move." Tanish replied in a cheerful tone.
"But...." Tanish said.
"Huh ?"
"Its not over yet." Tanish said while signing Anchal to look through corridor.

Several Branches and foliage bust opened the hallway. Show has reached it's climax, curtain shall fall soon. But before that these young men shall run for their very life. Fighting was not an option. Otherwise It would be a painful and pathetic death. Both ran from their apartment. They were running towards stairs. Trying to get out of this building as soon as possible but those supernatural flora was pursuing them. They ran down to stairs, they both were exhausted, but stopping means death. They both reached the ground floor, they were planning to get out building but saw group of people in plaza deck.
"Run....Something scary is coming."
"Please get out of it's sight, its dangerous."
They were running and shouting, trying to alert people about the danger behind them. But those people didn't take it seriously.
"Gosh, What are those two playing around?"
"My..My..These young people sure is energetic but these type of pranks are very bad."
"Good Heaven, What are they? 8th grader?"
As people were questioning the incomprehensible behaviour of two, Anchal and Tanish non stop running towards the exist.
"WHy? Why aren't they listening?" Anchal said.
"Well no time for that. We aren't playing some heroism. We aren't responsible for their life at all." Tanish cleared his intentions.
"um whaaa..Okay, I'm Not much of social person myself and I have my own life to look after." Anchal accepted the reality.
This is not some heroism and wish fulllfilment story, life in indespensable.This Story is about pure greedy and Selfish teenagers, who contradict their own beliefs for their own good. But you have to be alive to save other lives. No use of sacrifice which worth nothing but sorrow. They both passed by that group. They both looked behind to atleast accept the reality they have chosen.
"No way!!"
"What ? This is ..."
But reality was more cruel than they thought.
"Why they are not harmed?" Anchal exclaimed.
"Harm aside, they aren't even seeing what has engulfed them."
"This isn't right. They can't see them, nor they can touch them." Tanish said.
"But Why only me?"
"But why only us?"
They both questioned the reality. No They Both questioned themselves about this reality. A battle commenced, a series of doubt, incomprehensible actions and fake reality. A battle to kill oneself and protect oneself. A supernatural phenomena or A well planned series of events ? A chaotic battle is commenced.
