Chapter 1 - Foreword

Hello one and all to RADICAL-9: Anniversary Edition. This book has been in the works for pretty much the entirety of 2019. I am immensely proud to finally be presenting this novel to you. This foreword is being written the day after I have finished my personal edits, December 29th, 2019.

First of all, I would like to give some thanks to my inspirations and to those who have pushed for my continued success. I give thanks as I did back in the original Radical-9 volume to Reki Kawahara for Sword Art Online, an anime based on some light novels that—while flawed—inspired me to begin this story over seven years ago. I will always be grateful for my time experiencing SAO and can say that without all of the stories that I have experienced—my writing would not be anywhere close to the place it is today.

Second, I would like to give thanks to the love of my life—the constant fan—my dear Hannah Ladd. We've been together for nearly four years now and you've never missed a single day of supporting me. I want to recognize you forever. I love you.

With the emotional bits out of the way, I won't take up too much more of your time. I'll put a disclaimer here: These events are fictional, and any resemblance to any real-life event, person, or otherwise is considered a coincidence.
