Ramose's voice sounded strained and choked as if traveling from hundreds of miles away. Versailles's started to panic when she heard dull grunts and thumps accompanying the voice.
"Ramose! I'm coming!"
Stay away? That was impossible! How could she stay away when her mate was in a precarious situation?
"Light, don't come! For me, don't come! If you come, I'll be distracted!"
Versailles froze.
When he put it that way, it was hard for her to make a decision. What if her sudden appearance truly distracted him? She was also low on her flame power and wouldn't be able to offer much assistance.
When the time comes when she becomes too exhausted to even eke out a smudge of fire, wouldn't Ramose have to shoulder the burden of protecting her and fighting against the beast horde?
