Hina's transformation was more focused on her mana growth.
She only grew by a foot and still kept her small figure.
I'm glad I filled out a lot for my first transformation.
"Mistress!" Hina came running into the upgraded cabin.
Which was implemented by Islacc.
I'm glad he just rolled with it instead of reprimending me for doing something he never agreed to.
Guess this is the perk of our strange relationship.
But then again it could be that Hina was oozing with cuteness.
She's like a mini peace treaty.
I shouldn't show her an uncool expression.
Controlling one's expression was something that I learned as well.
I can't be a Demon Lordress without being able to keep my expressions in check.
Is what Islacc explained to me.
But...
Glancing at a sparkling Hina.
Inner mind shows Reesa having a flowery expression.
She really is too cute that I want to just pinch her cheeks!
But I can't, I am a soon to be Demon Lordress.
I shake my head, and right now I'm a Demon Ogre General.
"What is it,, Hina?" I asked finally snapping out of it.
She points to her chest with her nose pointing in the air, "my transformation is pretty awesome right, Mistress?" She asked proudly.
I reached over and pat her head.
"Indeed, and looks like you have an affinity with using nature magic."
"Yep, Master Islacc has been teaching me how to control my mana. He says it's way too soon to start using my magic." She says with a nod.
Well he was the same with me, until I was able to control my hunger, I couldn't learn anything else.
It's odd really, I remember starving for a week when I first appeared in this world and yet something like losing my senses have never occured.
I wonder if it's just apart of my growth?
That's a mystery I'll probably never learn about.
"Mistress?" Hina looked at me curiously.
Ah, I must have zoned out again.
I pat her head once more, "that's great Hina. Looks like you've managed to adapt already." I tell her.
It's only been a week since I took her in and yet she's already learned to associate with us naturally.
Her personality is more like a cute and spoiled child who's loved.
I don't think I hate it, but maybe I should act more like a leader.
Kingdom that owns the Village and Mountains
Armitis Castle
"Another monster appearance, this is starting to look serious, Prince Judis." Sir Roman, Head Butler at Armitis Castle, says.
Prince Judus Armitis felt frustrated from all the constant monster attacks that have been going on lately.
So far the rising body count of humans have risen to 40%.
It wasnt looking good and there have been talk among the people that he couldn't handle something to this degree.
This is bad.
The most recent appearance of a monster destroyed a village that was closer to Mount Irda.
"Do you have anything else on the incident?" He asked with his fingers folded and his chin resting on them.
"According to my source there was no signs of the monster as usual. They believe that the monster from the mountains has awakened and have been purposedly causing mayhem." Sir Roman says.
That again. It's the same legend he heard ever since childhood.
The one about the monster in the mountains.
At first he would have laughed it off as that, just a legend that didn't exist.
But after seeing it for himself, the beast that lived in the mountains no longer became a legend to him.
"It's about time that we get involved." Prince Judis says clenching his fingers tightly together.
"Are you sure that's such a great idea, Prince? We have no clue what kind of monster lives in those mountains. If anything we could be in over our heads." Sir Roman points out.
It is true that they knew nothing and the monster has already killed off at least four very well-known villages so far.
Even so, it must not continue anymore than this.
"Gather all the soldiers together, We'll head out at dawn. Also find me some adventurers." Prince Judis ordered.
He mustn't hesitate, the more he did so the possiblity that his city will be next on that monster's list.
"Yes, Prince." Sir Roman says with a bow before leaving Prince Judis to his thoughts.
From where he was sitting he could look out his window and see the mountains.
He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination but recently there has been a glowing light on top of that mountain.
"Monster of the Mountains. I'll be sure to take your head myself." He mutters.
Adventure Guild in Perphius City
"Have you heard? Prince Judis is looking for some adventurers." Some one says.
One can see a group of adventurers sitting at a nearby table.
These adventurers were made up of four adventurers.
They carried high quality gear on their persons.
Nearby, other adventures sat talking about the recent subjugation request.
"They say there was a series of monster attacks to a few of the villages here in Armitis Kingdom. Isn't that crazy?" Another adventurer says.
"You hear that, Leader? Sounds like a request from the Prince." a girl, nicknamed Chipper, amongst the four adventurers says.
These four are not that well-known and have low ranking levels amongst the other adventures in this adventure guild.
"Should we have a look, Leader?" A guy, known as Dax, in the group asked.
Leader Gran Flois, of the Bear Claw Adventurers, sat with his arms crossed.
"Dax, go take a look." Gran orders.
"Sure thing, Leader." Dax says standing to walk over to the quest board.
"Will we really accept a request from that Prince?" Gate, another guy apart of their four man guild, asked.
"What other choice do we have? We are low on money." Chipper says with a sigh afterwards.
After a minute goes by, Dax returns with a distressed expression.
"Yo, what's that look for?" Gate asked.
Dax returns to his seat, "it's a high-ranking quest, but it's offering 400 gold coins and 100 silvers for whoever accepts the mission." He says.
"High-ranking, like how high?" Chipper asked.
"Rank 50." He answered.
It was silent amongst them.
"That's pretty damned high. Who on Earth would choose a request that crazy high? There aren't any adventurers here in Perphius with a level higher than 20!" Gate explodes.
Through all this their leader hadn't said a word.
He looked as though he was in thought.
And they were right, while his expression showed to be calm and collected. On the inside he was freaking out.
In actual fact the guild's leader was a coward and always made his team do all the work.
They never knew this and followed him blindly, they never felt like the reason their team was so bad was because their leader was a terrible strategist and afraid of danger.
He does have one redeeming feature about him, though and that was his knowledge in equipment.
He knew the best equipment out there and has an eye for detail and if it's sellable or of use to them.
It's because of high-quility equipment, that this small group still lived.
"Leader, what do you think?" Chipper asked.
All three looked in his direction, though he hadn't been paying attention.
Leader's thoughts: Shit, what do I do? I don't want to go on such a dangerous quest!
But, they're relying on my answer. I have no other choice....damn I'm sure I'll regret it for sure.
"I say we accept the quest. After all, we definitely need the money." He points out.
Leader's thoughts: Shit! Shit! Shit!
I must be crazy! I just want to run away!
His expression is still calm and collected on the outside.
"I agree! The Leader always thinks for the guild!" Dax says with a grin.
Leader's thoughts: I wonder if I can take it back?
No, it's not good to show my true thoughts in all this.
That night they accepted the quest and a few other adventurers as well.
A misunderstanding about the Monster in the mountains continues to spread, what will happen to our Main Character's that are being falsely accused?
