Leandre found himself powerless as she dragged him along by his arm. At first, he tried to resist her pull, but her grip was too strong, and soon he found himself yielding to her as if she had not given him any other option. For now, he let her do as she pleased, enjoying her bossing him around.
Clary hurriedly dragged him to the end of the room, where a row of tall statues stood in solemnity. She scanned the small gap between the wall and the sculptors, just enough for her to slip, but this Eiffel tower? Clary let go of his arm and gazed at him deep in thought.
"What?" Leandre asked, his heart sinking, realizing the warmth of her touch was no longer there. A sense of emptiness gripped him.
The voices from outside grew louder, prompting Clary to make a decision.
"We will hide here,'' Clary whispered urgently.
