(New Pov)
"Hey Sammy another one has shown up" I said entering my office
"Again? This is the fifth one this month" Sammy sighed and got up "They always show up then another pack disappears it's really creepy"
Shaking my head I grab her arm and pull her out of the office "Come on, I need you to watch her so I can get the paperwork done" Carefully making my way down the stairs I let go and walked into the living room
"You said your name was Jasmine right?"
"Yes sir" she responded still looking at the ground
"Don't look down, hold your head high" Sammy said walking into the room speaking my mind.
Smiling I nodded before turning back to the girl that was now staring at Sammy
"Where did you come from?" she didn't answer and kept staring at Sammy "is everything all right?" I asked but before she can answer the poor girl was tackled to the ground by Sammy
"MATE!" Sammy growled out but that said it all. Backing out of the room I let them talk alone as I walked to the kitchen grabbing me a snack before returning to my office. Sitting at my desk I started on some paperwork that permits Jasmine to stay in the pack.
While trying to do paperwork I couldn't get my mind off finding my mate. Almost everyone in my pack has found their mate and they are becoming restless as they don't have a luna.
After a couple hours of endless paperwork that I couldn't focus on I decided to call it a day.
"I give up" putting my pen down I stood and stretched
'how about we go for a run?'
"Sure, let's go," I answered walking out of the office. I could feel my wolf's excitement rise as we finally got to run without Sammy or any other pack members to guard me. Walking out I quickly stripped down to my underwear and shifted, feeling fur cover me, my bones cracking, and as soon as the change was finished I took off into the woods.
While wandering around, I came across Jasmine's fading scent trail from where she came from.
'The scent is off' was all my wolf said before trying to take control.
'What are you doing? I can just follow it if you really think it's necessary but I don't smell anything wrong'
'who's the wolf here, me or you?'
I started following Jasmine's scent, not responding to my wolf. After getting about three or four miles away from my pack I lost Jasmine's scent to the smell of a fire burning. Mind linking my warriors I ran towards the smell as fast as I could towards the fire.
Upon entering the territory there was a thick smell of blood and smoke. Enough to make me dizzy.
'This is the Sunset Prowlers pack' I nod as I walk further into the territory cautiously.
Soon dead werewolves in and out of wolf form came into view. Shifting back I put on simple black shorts I found by a nearby tree, before going to the bodies.
Spending most of my time checking for a pulse on the motionless bodies till my pack members join me in the territory.
Not long after checking about 10 to 15 bodies, my pack warriors soon appeared breathless as they followed my scent and came as fast as they could. "Alpha we are all here," says one of them stepping forward and bowing his head.
Sammy casually walked up next to me "I told you it always happens after they show up".
Turning to the warriors "Split into two teams, one looks for any survivors and the other shall gather the bodies for proper burial" after giving out orders they responded with a 'yes sir' before getting to work.
Sammy and I along with a couple of other warriors put out the fires before they could spread further.
While putting out one of the last fires one of my warriors screamed out "There are survivors!". I quickly left Sammy's side and ran to the warrior "where are they" she pointed to the door of the packhouse.
Walking in to see Alpha Yura sitting on the ground, blood coming from his forehead as he held his mate in his arms.
At first, it seemed like she had died but giving her a closer look you could see her chest rising and falling.
"Alpha Yura," I said, walking closer as I gained his attention. He looked lost as he looked up at me, "She looked so harmless."
"What do you mean?" I asked kneeling next to him
"The small girl, she looked so weak and hurt but…." he stopped looking around till his eyes landed back on to his mate and he whispered, "She is so small but she could destroy my entire pack by herself".
"Do you know who did this?" he quickly shook his head refusing to say anything. "Then... Do you know who wanted this?"
"Ray" Yura responded pushing a strand of hair out of his mates face. "Ray… Wait, Alpha Ray? Ray Moon?" Yura responded with a short nod as I sighed.
"Why don't you and your mate stay in my pack till you and your mate have recovered" I could see the hesitant look in his eyes before he nodded. Standing I linked a few warriors to escort
Yura to the pack doctor before leaving the house.
As I came out it was much darker due to the fires being put out. Looking around I noticed most of the bodies had been moved for a proper burial. While looking around I also noticed a wolf by the tree line that led into the forest.
It had white fur stained in blood and their eyes looked so sad as they looked upon the destroyed territory. For some reason my heart started to race the longer I watched the mysterious white wolf.
'Ace what's going on?' I asked looking around to see if anyone else saw the wolf
'Follow' was all Ace responded with.
Looking back at the wolf I started making my way to it but after a few steps, its head snapped to look in my direction making me stop.
Meeting the deep ocean blue eyes nearly made my heart stop but why. I could see hope and love flash in the wolf's eyes before it was replaced with fear and disappointment.
A bit confused I started taking more steps in the wolf's direction. It turned and took off into the forest. As I went to follow its scent I finally noticed that the wolf didn't have a scent but the scent of blood.
Deciding not to go after it I turned to go back to Yura's territory.
'Ace what kind of wolf was that'
'Avoid it at all costs' I came to a stop
'what? Why?'
'Look around you, she destroyed everything, she's bigger than an alpha, stronger and she ran faster than an alpha ever could'.
'She?'
'Yes. She'
